The present Vespel plastic material throttle shaft bushing in the main flow body assembly has caused throttle shaft torques to exceed acceptable limits. A throttle shaft bushing fabricated from bronze, therefore, is released to the C20 and C20B Bendix fuel controls. The bronze bu,shing has been used satisfactorily for years in all Series I fuel controls and governors. Additional improvement in service life is expected by this bushing incorporation. Part No. 2538613 Main Flow Body Assemblies are reworked to P/N 2538614 Body Assemblies by replacing P/N 2537522 Throttle Shaft Bushings (Vespel) with P/N 2525170 Bushings (bronze). Following rework, fuel control assemblies are reidentified. Revision No. 1 December 23, 1977

Select P/N 2525170, 2525171, 2525172, provide 0. 0005-o. 002 in. tight fit.

Immerse bushing in oil conforming to Specification at 140F for 15 minutes and allow to cool.

Press replacement bushing into body with T27268 Mandrel. Bushing shoulder must be tight against body. (See Figure 2.) Ream bushing with 2550188C Reamer to diameter specified in Figure 2. Machine unflanged end of bushing to provide 0.9140.912 inch bushing length as shown. Following machining, swab bushing out clean with MIL-L-7808 oil. Cut wicks of appropriate length, saturate with MIL-LAllow wicks to remain in 7808 oil, and insert into bushing. bushing at least 30 minutes. Reidentify reworked main flow body as P/N or marking container. 2538614 by tagging

Reidentify modified fuel control assemblies by installing a new P/N 2647428 Identification Plate with the information &ted in Table I either metal stamped, vibropeened, or scribed. NOTE: New P/N 2539508 Fuel Inlet Filter Assembly must be installed prior to fuel control reidentificatilon with a new part number. (Refer to 250-C20/CZOB CEB- 1089.)
