WORK EXPERIENCE JANUARY 2012 TO DATE HUAWEI TECHNOLOGIES, ISLAMABAD PRODUCT SUPPORT ENGINEER Working as Product Support Engineer on HR outsource contract for Huawei to provide Base Station Subsystem (BSS) and Operation Support Subsystem support. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: M2000 SUPPORT: Commissioning of SUN Fire V890 and SUN SPARC M5000 enterprise servers. Administration of Huawei iManager M2000 application, alarm definition, Counters management, Sybase management, M2000 mediations and processes. Troubleshooting of NEs management issues on the PTML O&M network. Backing up dynamic, static and OS data of servers. Preparation of licenses, management of resources and functions in the licenses and loading them on iManager M2000. Configuration of clients, User group creation, Alarm filters creation and command group creation and other administrative task execution. Performing periodic health check of all O&M server with use of Huawei tools. Successful implementation of Network Time Protocol (NTP) to enable intermediate layer NTP on all O&M servers. Connectivity of 3G trial network entities with the O&M network for operation and maintenance.

Carrying out day to day tasks successfully and monitoring the O&M network for its smooth error free operation. BSS SUPPORT: Commissioned and integrated the first Pico BTS (BTS3900B) in Pakistan with a public networking topology and assisted datacom in preparing the network topology and setting up IPSec tunnels where required. Also prepared a technical case study for future reference. Commissioning of BSC6900, BTS3900, DBS3900, RNC and IP Clock server. Abis interface ports planning and allocation. Ater and A interface ports planning and allocation at BSC end. OMCR end configuration and maintenance of BSC6900 (BM and TC separate and BM/TC combined) BTS3900, DBS3900 and RNC. Simple Cell Broadcast (SCB) feature implementation and testing on BSC6900. Semi-permanent link addition and BTS monitor timeslot configuration for transmission NMS on BSC6900.

Direct transfer Mode (DTM) Feature implementation for concurrent voice and data communication on BSC6900. KPI monitoring and escalation of degradation to RF teams. Coordination with all the stake holders from customer end for successful execution of activities.

MAY 2010 DECEMBER 2011 NOKIA SIEMENS NETWORK (MOTOROLA), ISLAMABAD TEAM LEAD BSS DEPLOYMENT &INTEGRATION Former Motorola, now acquired by Nokia Siemens Networks provides Integration, Support and Value Added services to PMCL (Mobilink) Pakistan, for their 900/1800 GSM/GPRS/EDGE network. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: PMCL GSM-BSS (NEW SITES &SITE EXPANSIONS) Commissioning of new DCS and GSM ( Horizon2 Macro, Horizon Macro, Horizon Compact, Horizon Micro and Horizon2 Mini) Macro/Micro/Mini, indoor/outdoor Sites Troubleshooting of CSSR (Call Setup Success Rate) , HSR (Handover Success Rate), IHSR (Incoming Handover Success Rate), DCR (Drop Call Rate), Call Volume, RF Losses, Interference on idle (IOI), PBs (Path balances Low and High ) etc issues on new BTS and Expansion sites related to any hardware (Radio, Duplexer, Surf, SMA cable, Feeder cables, Antenna port) or database (DRI, RTF equipage or Cell parameter) or environment related issues. EAS alarms (Fire, Temperature, Low voltage, Rectifier Major, Rectifier Minor, Intruder) verification for Motorola BTS and BSCs. Pre site commissioning rectification like Ground-Neutral voltages, Phase-Phase Voltages, PhaseNeutral voltages, Cabinet/Microwave rack/IDU/Genset/Tower/LDF grounding etc. Hands on experience of work on BIRD site analyzer for VSWR/Sweep test of complete path from Cabinet top to Antenna for New and Expansion sites. Have a good interaction with customer, completing all customer targets on time. Monitor & keep a track of all BSS Deployment Activities. Resolve all hardware and KPI related issues. Managing the equipment/spares required as per the customer plan. Managing the purchase orders (POs) of north region and preparing the invoices after completion of services of a particular PO. Also responsible for the teams overtime, fuelling and monthly claims. Managing teams in the field and provide remote support to the field engineer as and when required.

24/7 on call available for any BSS hardware related issues/queries faced by customer. Projects completed as Team Lead: PMCL-Motorola WiMAX Project (November 2011):

Successfully conducted indoor to outdoor swap of the PMCL Wimax BCUs of Rawalpindi and
Islamabad sites being swapped on Huawei with coordination of PMCL Wimax NOC team, PMCL O&M and PMCL deployment. Before and after activity monitor the hardware related alarms and make sure that no critical is being reported after the completion. PMCL Microwave (Transmission Project) for the ZTE Swap (October 2011):

Commissioning of Microwave links for NEC PDH, SDH and STM.

Perform interfacing/recovery tests of links to carry smooth, and error less Traffic Hand on experience of PNMT software.

Responsible for media availability for new Roll out sites and up gradation link capacity with respect
to media bottle neck, quality supervision for the operations and KPI`s of Transmission Network elements/systems in the network as per the agreed time lines and project plans.

Hand on experience of installation and configuration of NEC C-Node (MUX).

 Troubleshooting and maintenance of NEC Microwave equipment. Firmware up gradation of NEC Pasolink NEO IDU.
Motorola-Alcatel Swap Project (April 2011): Performed swap of Alcatel with Motorola BTS and BSC. Dismantled the Alcatel equipment from PMCL sites in Bhalwal and Sargodha and installation of Motorola HM2 BTS. Conducted commissioning the BTS and BSCs.
