Contact with acids liberates toxic gas Causes bums SECTION 4: FIRST AID MEASURES 4.1 After inhalation: Remove to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Call a physician. 4.2 After skin contact: In case of contact, wipe off excess material from skin then immediately flush skin with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Wash clothing before reuse. Call a physician. 4.3 After eye contact: rinse out with plenty of water for at least 10 minutes with the eyelid held wide open. 4.4 Immediately call in ophthalmologist. After swallowing: make victim drink plenty of water, avoid vomiting (risk of perforation!). Immediately call in physician. Do not attempt to neutralize

SECTION 5: FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES

Extinguishing media Use any means suitable for extinguishing surrounding fire. Water spray may be used to keep fire exposed containers cool. Special risk Non- combustible. Ambient fire may liberate hazardous vapours. The following may develop in event of fire: chlorine, hydrochloric acid. Special protective equipment for fire fighting Do not stay in dangerous zone without self-contained breathing apparatus. In order to avoid contact with skin, keep a safety distance and wear suitable protective clothing and self-contained breathing apparatus. Further information Prevent fire-fighting water from entering surface water or groundwater. Contain escaping vapours with water. Cool container with spray water from a save distance

SECTION 6: ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES Person-related precautionary measures: Avoid substance contact. Do not inhale vapours/aerosols. Ensure supply of fresh air in enclosed rooms. Smoking, eating, resting and hosting meetings are prohibited where a chemical is present or sorted. - Environmental-protection measures: Do not allow to enter sewerage system. - Procedures for cleaning / absorption: Take up with liquid-absorbent material. Forward for disposal. Clean up affected area. SECTION 7: HANDLING AND STORAGE Handling: May be under pressure. Sensitive to light Limited shelf life. - Storage: Tightly closed. Dry. Protected from light - May decompose forming gaseous products, especially when stored over long periods Close containers in such a way to enable internal pressure to escape (e.g. excess pressure valve). The resistance of the protective clothing to chemicals should be ascertained with the respective supplier. Respiratory protection: required. After skin contact: burns. After eye contact: burns, Risk of blindness! After swallowing: Damage of: mouth, oesophagus and gastrointestinal tract. Risk of perforation in the oesophagus and stomach. SECTION 13: DISPOSAL CONSIDERATIONS Product There are no uniform EC Regulations for the disposal of chemicals or residues. Chemical residues generally count as special waste. The disposal of the latter is regulated in the EC member countries through corresponding laws and regulations. We recommend that you contact either the authorities in charge or approved waste disposal companies which will advise you on how to dispose of special waste. Chemical expired or loss of quality must be processed, the handling of these chemicals must comply to the current regulations of the State. Contaminated packaging Disposal in compliance with official regulations. Handle contaminated packaging in the same way as the substance itself. If not officially specified differently, non-contaminated packaging may be treated like household waste or recycled.

SECTION 14: TRANSPORT INFORMATION - Sodium hypochlorite solution is contained in specialized non-metal can or tank and transport by trucks. No transport with other goods, especially foods. Do not transport dangerous chemicals with people, livestock and other goods The on road transport means owners do not stop or park vehicles in public places.
