Title: Nuclear power is not a good energy source for the world.

These days, everyone is thinking would the nuclear power be a good energy source for the world. As it is known that oil and gas cannot run for ever. Nuclear power was first recognized, when Henri Becquerel discovered that Uranium is a strong source of radiation (History of Nuclear Energy 2012). That was the leading point to this energy source. However, as it believed nuclear power should not be used any further. Human should discontinue using nuclear power. Even though, nuclear power would meets the worlds energy needs and its a clean energy source it should not be used because of the radiation and health effects, its not safe energy and it requires vast amount of money. Radiation has got significant effects on human health. Alone radiation could be a considerable issue. The nuclear radiation occurs when unsettled nuclei of atoms breakdown (www.world-nuclear.org 2012). When the radiation is released it could easily penetrate people, who would probably be cancerous or died. Besides that those people, who did not die probably would suffer from the fever and diarrhea and there is no medicine to tackle them from this illness. In other words, many people at Hiroshima did not die directly from real blast. They died from the radiation that was released as a consequence of explosion (Library.thinkquest.org 2012). Most significantly, is that nuclear power needs to be safe, secure and it requires high safety system. If just single mistake occurred, probably it would lead to a vast nuclear accident. Even the Nuclear Power Plants if they are not built correctly, they will cause an explosion or a huge damage at least. In 1979 Nuclear Power Plant in Three Mile Island exploded because radioactive materials were released. Moreover, there is always possibility that workers will make mistake and there is no way to avoid workers mistake. Not only building and workers

but also natural disaster can destroy the whole nuclear power plant. For instant, nuclear power plant were damaged in Kozloduy in Bulgaria as a result of an earthquake in 1997. Nuclear power cost vast amount of money. To generate nuclear power plant it require a huge sums and that figure will affect the country economy, so it is not economical energy source. Furthermore, it requires redundant safety system, where requisition of great amount of money is needed. Also because the people who work at nuclear power plants are highly trained, their salaries also will be high. Nevertheless, nuclear power is incredibly energy source, where it can meet the worlds energy needs. The energy created from a single power plant can cover the whole city of it. What is more, it is a renewable energy source. A good example of that, nuclear energy been used in submarines engines, where it takes about a year to refuel. Noticeable that nuclear power is a clean energy. For years scientists where researching for energy source that does not produce pollution. Nuclear power is a friendly-environment, where no emissions are emitting, while oil and gas are one of main reasons for the world global warning. In conclusion, mainly, some people highly suggested that nuclear power is a good energy source for the world throughout their words, but if they look to the other side, the side where its consequences outweigh its advantages.
