Recordamos el uso del verbo to be: - Equivale a ser o estar. - Es un verbo auxiliar, por lo tanto se niega solo; es decir, no necesita un verbo auxiliar. Ej.: isnt. - En castellano, se traduce por tener cuando se habla de aos, hambre, sed. Ej.: I was hungry. - Se usa para hacer oraciones copulativas en pasado. Ej.: My grandfather was Portuguese. - Para decir nac, se usa de manera fija I was born. I. Completa las frases escribiendo la forma correcta del verbo to be en pasado:

- Son las formas en pasado de there is y there are, por lo tanto significa hubo y haba. - Usamos there was para singular y there were para plural. Ej.: There was a school in my village. There wasnt any swimming-pool. - There were some farmers. There werent any shops. 1.3. Past continuous - Se forma con el pasado del verbo to be (was, were) y el verbo en -ing. - Usamos el pasado continuo para actividades y acciones del pasado. Ej.: I was studying yesterday. - Cualquier oracin en pasado llevar expresiones de tiempo como yesterday, last week/month/year, in 1972, at + hora, on + da semana, two years ago (hace dos aos), while (mientras). What were you doing yesterday at four oclock? (Para preguntar qu estbamos haciendo). I was studying in the library. (Para decir qu estbamos haciendo)
