Dear CFC Family, Praise be Jesus! Ave Maria! Couples for Christ will always stand for LIFE! It is our moral duty to oppose anything that seeks to destroy life and diminish the importance of family. Our Filipino family is our treasure! We will always uphold the teachings of our Catholic Church. We believe that we must be responsible parents raising strong, God-fearing families. We know that human population is the strength of our country and that we must work together to alleviate the plight of the poor, push for equitable distribution of resources, provide opportunities for livelihood, protect environment and educate our young. The next days will be crucial. Congress will put on vote the passage of the Reproductive Health bill on August 7, 2012. We rally all our members, families, friends and fellow Filipinos especially our elected officials NOT to support it. Giving artificial contraception which can be hazardous to health and may even be abortifacient is not the solution to decrease maternal and child deaths. Availability and improvement of health facilities and SERVICE-oriented hearts will be the one to save our pregnant women and vulnerable babies. FAMILY is our strength. EDUCATION rooted on family values is our pillar for the future. GOOD GOVERNANCE doing away with corruption is the key to success. FAITH in God is our armor. Brethren, let us do the three L s. LOVE, LIGHT and LIFE. Convince our members that we shall conquer these dark hours with Love. Let us lovingly explain and show to everyone the LOVE of God, and in doing so, everyone especially our lawmakers will see the LIGHT and thus fight for LIFE! For every CFC Chapter, we shall hold nine days of one hour vigil to the Blessed Sacrament, offer sacrifices and fasting and also pray the Holy Rosary (HR our answer against RH) from July 29, 2012 up to August 6, 2012 with the intention that RH bill will not be passed in our land, that any underhanded tactic for this will not bear fruit and that Filipinos will embrace and safeguard LIFE at all times. Let us be vigilant, be cunning as serpents but gentle as doves. Much as the groundwork for RH bill is being implemented at barangay levels and money is being poured to fund distribution of contraceptives and demand generation is being done to change the mindset of the Filipinos, let us the more take time to evangelize, take time to explain our stand for life and teach people of the TRUE responsible parenthood taught by the Church. We beg Gods mercy that we can truly be the bearers of Good News in the Third Millennium! Blessed Mother, Intercede for us! St. Joseph, patron of the Archdiocese of Lipa, pray for us.
