What is its working title ?

It is called Beneath the Shadows as we our supernatural creature is a Davea, which is a creature that cannot manifest without shadows. We as a group wanted to keep the title of

our film something that contrasts with the supernatural creature. The connotations of the title is that something is scary is lurking under the shadows. So something bad is going to happen and the audience should have a light source with them. The audiences reaction to this title will be to be afraid.

Give a synopsis of the film in no more than thirty words: With two girls just coming out of school on a cold winter day at the evening. Walking home they both take their different pathways separating from one another they go home. Something follows them home. But what is it? .one of the girl realises that her friend had left her phone in her bag and rushes to catch her up but find blood and then it come for her. What will happen?

Actors and character roles : (give a brief description of each character) :

Samira: (Playing school girl No.1)- Playing the character of Zahirah. Her character will be a nice, sweet girl who cares about her education (which is why she stayed behind in school). Zahirah as a character is a person who is innocent and afraid of things far too quickly.

Nadia: (Playing school girl No.2) Taking the lead role of Ruckshana. She as a character is stronger than Zahirah, having an interest in the media. She Talks about films and is not scared of things that easily as Zahirah.
Davea: An Davea is a Creature of the shadow, its a special type of daemon. It has claws and only can be seen when light is projecting on wall. With his teleportation skills and Supernatural strengths, it is able to move around wherever it needs to without being noticed.

Narrative of the film (full storyline and how the plot will be revealed to the audience) remember its only the opening scenes!!

It is set in a school. Two girls coming out during the evening. It is Dark and cold. The Two girls are best friend and talking about how they finished the work. While walking they feel as if they being followed, looking back but dont see anything behind them. (Samira One of out of the friends. Nadia the second friend) they then walk down until they reach the end where they both have to split. The camera follows Nadia as she realises that her friend left her phone in her she rushes back to catch her up. Mean while her friend will be killed (However not shown on the film). As Nadia tries to catch her friend up she feels like shes being followed and she looks back, but no one is there again. She goes through the path way that her friend goes through to go home. She spots a bit of blood on the floor, like freshly spilt blood. Walking on Nadia does not take notice of what she saw and then she sees a scarf. Her friends red scarf. Flying like a flag on the tree. Then Nadia screams and the camera goes black. Then something jumps out and camera goes black again.

I will need a Camera (To film with) Camera stands (For shots that are meant to be still) A Mac book / Laptop to edit the film Microphone (For thoughts and voices or the characters)

Locations: where in school will you need to film (must give the full list) Location: In school we will need to film the outside, however this must be during the evening. As our setting is for a winters day, during the evening the two friends going home from school. The connotations are that they will look innocent and like average teens. The next sense will be shot in the ally way near plot ten. This is because as it is a narrow and is dark as there is not much lighting and sunlight does not get through as it is in a corner it has the connotations of something bad will happen. Another shot will be in Platt Street. This is where Nadia takes her root to go home. As she it is a bigger street it has connotations that she is safe. That even if she gets followed home she will be safe as people will be around. Although during the evening there is not many people around still as there is houses around she is still safe.

What music will you need: (how will you get hold of it or make it?)

We will need music that is scary and sound very depressing for the background. We will get this by searching for some. There is one that our group looked at by Behold the Darkness, By Medwyn Goodall which we think is a match to our Film however we will have to see when editing as we may change out mind when time comes. We will need a variety to choose from Behold the Darkness, By Medwyn Goodall. One Missed call

What real life media has inspired you to make this film ? At Sinister is a film that has inspired us for our film. It has is of a supernatural source who we cannot see only if he is in the pitcher. However our supernatural source will be a shadow form and we can see only as a shadow. Watching the trailer or Sinister it leaves a lot of suspense for the audience, which we as a group are wanting for our audience.

(Set in a dark, cold, winter evening, two girls coming out of school making their way home. Camera women (Gulbahar) Films a wide shot view of the school and its surrounding. Both girls walking down the road talking while camera is at ) Rushana played by Nadia

 Zahairah played by Samira Camera shot in Medium close up (MCU) while walking with them in both Rushana and Zahirahs face. Nadia: So, did you hear about that film? Samira : Which one? Nadia : stolen, I think thats the name Samira : Stolen ? whats it about? Nadia : About some supernatural activity taking place in a girls house while shes alone. Samira : Wait stop. You know I Know I hate scary films so lets not talk about it. Nadia: Fine (Music In the back ground of violin playing, the girls voice become quitter as music plays and the camera has a (Point of view shot POV) becoming the monster and showing the audience what the monster sees. Then camera goes back to girls in a Mid shot again) Both girls Hugging each other and saying good bye near the corner of the alleyway (behind school to get into Charlton street ) Nadia: Bye Ill see you later Samira: You two (Rushana and Zahirah both split paths and go the own separate way. Camera Follows Zahirah at this point. Zahirah reaches into her pocket looking for her phone but the sees that she does not have it she realises her friend has it) Samira: Oh My God, Wheres My phone (Zahirah her friend has it she turns around and screams. Camera Becomes the Monster and we just see Zahirah screaming and then the camera goes blank)

(Phone ringing and Ruskshan realising that, that is not her phones ringtone and then finds out its Zahirah as she gets it out of her bag) Nadia: Oh No, Zahirahs Phone is with me I need to go and
give it back.

(Rukshana rushing to catch up to Zahirah as she is walking really fast. She goes back and starts walking through the ally way. At midpoint of the ally way she starts to see blood marks on the floor, however takes no notice of it and walks forward and reches to a tree. On the tree theres Zahirahs scarf. A red scarf. Camera zooms into the scarf flying like a flag and then quickly goes back on Ruskshana. Camera becomes POV and then watches Rukshana from up high. As she thinks in her mind) Nadia (Talking in her mind) : Wait is that not Zahirahs Scarf whats It doing here and wait that was blood Wasnt it? (Ruskhana running back to the blood stains and staring at them) Nadia (Thoughts in her mind) : What is this, I have to call the police (As turns around she screams and the camera goes blank, the camera is on the floor to show PVC of Ruskhanas Point of view. Today we have chosen what will be the concept of the film and how to make it into a story. I wrote the overall narrative and Samira sorted out who will be acting and took care of who will manage what in our group. Nadia worked on the booklet with Gulbahar. They looked at the different names for the film however we will be discussing about the film name on Friday, so as a whole group we can decide if it is suitable for us.

Next Lesson: We will need to agree on a name of the film. Go over what sort of music we need for the film.

We made sure that everyone was on track on what we were doing. We Thought about different names and what were the connotations of the names. We thought about, how does it work with our film.

We were thinking about what type of music and the genre of music we have to specifically look at. This will help us later on to just look at that type of genre of music.

As a group we all finished our booklets. We all added our bits that we researched. I made up the narrative and made a script for the group. Gulbahar drew the story board and worked tightly with me as she had to know what I was going to do with the script firstly because she was drawing the story board secondly, as she is the camera women, I have to tell her how

the camera shots were going to be filmed. Samira had to research about the genera and what other films can we be inspired by. Nadia looked the location as this is one of the important parts of the film. The locations have to be very creepy and dark, which is why we told her just to look specifically look at the locations. We went to check out the location, and then we thought about the different angles and how can we show our supernatural creature.
