Introduccin
Las Normas Vancouver son el estilo de cita ms utilizado en ciencias de la salud. Su origen fue el Comit Internacional de Directores de Revistas Mdicas que en su reunin en Vancouver (Canad) en 1978 para establecer un estilo uniforme respecto al formato de los artculos enviados a sus revistas. Se conoce como las Normas Vancouver. Los requisitos para manuscritos, incluan formatos para las referencias bibliogrficas desarrollados por la National Library of Medicine (NLM) de EEUU. El Grupo Vancouver creci y se convirti en el Comit Internacional de Directores de Revistas Mdicas (CIDRM). Los ttulos de las revistas deben abreviarse segn el estilo que utiliza la National Library of Medicine (NLM). Para conocerlos puede consultar: NLM Catalog: Journals referenced in the NCBI Databases de PubMed. La base de datos ISSN de la Biblioteca, a travs de MetAL. El apndice B del libro (Patrias, 2007): Additional sources for journal title abbreviations La bibliografa sigue este orden: Alfabtico por autor.
