PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE Roosevelt Institute Campus Network (New York, NY) January 2011 Present The largest student policy organization in the country, formed to strengthen the progressive movement by meaningfully engaging young people in politics and provide them the opportunity to reshape their communities. Chapter Services Coordinator & Summer Academy Coordinator Responsible for designing, implementing, and updating all of the core operations and systems of the organization ensuring all activities & major events follow a clearly designed process that is proactive and responsive. The position ensures that that the organization is running effectively and efficiently and holding staff members accountable and identifying and fixing holes in the organizations operating infrastructure. Additionally, oversee and run the Summer Academy fellowship in Chicago, New York, and Washington, DC. Results: Increased number of submissions to the Summer Academy fellowship by 60 percent. Implement new systems and processes to support the work of our field infrastructure and policy programs, including information collection and tracking, and chapter grant and material requests. Triage to Network student staff and central office for major conferences, events, and programs. Manage the logistics, programming, and recruitment for the annual leadership summit, operating on a $42,000 budget. Reshaped the utilization of Network online communications, resulting in the increase of social media followers--80 percent on Facebook; 60 percent on Twitter; and 20 percent on our mailing list. Strategically integrate digital platforms with national and network activities and programs. Design and executed on digital campaigns, including RooRxn, #solve2012, and #GBAF. Restructure and integrate the Summer Academy fellowship. Manage the overhaul and maintenance of the Campus Network website. Design and facilitate grassroots public policy and online organizing trainings. Design year-round internship program. National Assembly on School-Based Health Care (Washington, DC) November 2010 February 2011 Built from the grassroots up, NASBHC is the national voice for school-based health centers, advocating for national policies, programs, and funding to expand and strengthen school-based health centers, while supporting the movement with training and technical assistance.

Policy Assistant Responsible for representing the NASBHC at meetings with coalition partners, at Congressional briefings and hearings, and at conferences with colleague organizations and government agencies; researched and assisted with drafting fact sheets, talking points, newsletters, and e-blasts for advocacy efforts. Results: Played a critical role in designing and implementing National School-Based Health Care Awareness Month. Created the National School-Based Health Care Awareness Month toolkit. Built the foundation for the first track focused for young people at the annual convention. Assisted organizing the logistics of the Fall Advocacy Day on Capitol Hill. Lobbied for school-based health care support on Capitol Hill. Political Development Group, LLC (Washington, DC) August 2010 October 2010 A Democratic fundraising firm on Capitol Hill providing political consulting services and raising money for Democratic incumbents and candidates for the House of Representatives and US Senate where clients include members in positions of House leadership, the Congressional Black Caucus, the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, and the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus. Internship Responsible for providing event planning and logical support for special fundraising events for Congressional campaigns across the United States and assisting in researching donor contributions and prospects for campaigns.
