This new voice synthesiser unit allows six languages to be selected and programmed using the XR25 : - French (FrA) - English (AnG) - German (ALL) - Spanish (ESP) - Italian (ItA) - Dutch (HOL)
NOTE :
- new voice synthesiser units are programmed in French, - they are identified as 2SYP by the XR25 .
Example :
Ignition on : - connect the XR25 with cassette n 15 to the diagnostic socket on the vehicle and set the ISO selector to S8, - enter code

then
To broadcast the message "Important, immobiliser active, the vehicle may not be started, refer to Drivers Handbook", the voice synthesiser unit does not interpret the operation of the system in the same manner for a 1st generation immobiliser as it does for a 2nd generation immobiliser - for the 1st generation, the voice synthesiser unit uses the injection warning light signal, - for the 2nd generation, the instrument panel uses the red immobiliser warning light signal. Voice synthesiser units are programmed for 1st generation immobilisers when they are supplied as parts. If they are fitted to vehicles with a 2nd generation immobiliser, they automatically alter to suit the 2nd generation system. Once configured for the 2nd generation, they can only be changed back to 1st generation using the XR25 .

Ignition on, connect the XR25 to the diagnostic socket ISO selector on S8 Enter D17 2.SYP
PRECAUTION
When testing using a multimeter, do not use a test pin on the connectors which could damage the clips and cause poor contact. Bornier El. 1302 must be used for all testing or measurements on the 30 track voice synthesiser unit connector. Bornier El. 1302 permits: continuities to be checked. To do this, connect the bornier to the 30 track voice synthesiser unit connector or to the vehicle wiring as for a conventional bornier, voltages, frequencies, etc to be measured. To do this, connect this bornier between the voice synthesiser unit and the vehicle wiring.

NOTES
Important: Before beginning this fault finding, check there is no fault present on the air conditioning.
Check the continuity (if bargraph 15 LH side is still extinguished) or that there is no short circuit to earth (if bargraph 15 LH side is still illuminated) of the wiring between track 28 on the 30 track voice synthesiser unit connector and track B5 on the 18 track air conditioning control panel connector. Repair the wiring if necessary.
Check the correct illumination of bargraph 15 LH side. - Disconnect the 18 track air conditioning control panel connector, then disconnect the clip for track B5. Reconnect the 18 track connector. Ignition on, bargraph 15 LH side should be extinguished. - Connect the clip previously disconnected to earth. Ignition on, bargraph 15 LH side should be illuminated. Do you note these results?
YES
