Danielle M. Lyons Can Satan repent and be saved?

I will be discussing the topic Can Satan repent and be saved? I will highlight the terms repentance and salvation by scriptural reference followed by Gods judgment for Satan to answer this question. Lastly, I will discuss how this topic is applicable for Christians and nonChristians. To repent is to turn toward God and away from sin Now repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away (Acts 3:19). How does one prove repentance? According to Acts 26:20, one must prove their repentance by their deeds. Think: What were Satans deeds? Turning away from sin and toward God happens before His (Gods) judgment. We are familiar with the stories of Satans deeds and that Gods judgment has determined his current and final destination: Hell. It is my firm belief based on the word of God that Satan cannot repent. Can this act of repentance be done in Hell? There is no support for this in the teachings of God therefore no one can turn away and prove themselves once final judgment is upon us. The opportunity has passed for Satan to prove himself, show you approved 2 Tim 2:15. Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth. Satan did not correctly explain the word of truth but instead deceived people. Hell was created for Satan the fallen angel who wanted to exalt himself to be God and also masqueraded as apostles of Christ (2 Corinthians 11:13-14) his end will be that his actions deserve. Cursed is the man who disgraces or dishonors his father states Deuteronomy 27:16. Satan did not repent before Gods judgment to him stated in Revelations.

Danielle M. Lyons Now I will take into account the scriptural references of salvation. In Acts 4:12, speaking of Christ it states, Salvation is found in no one else for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved. How does one become saved? Through Jesus Christ; hence the expression Savior. Salvation signifies belief and reverence for the Lord God and Jesus Christ. Relating the two aspects repentance and salvation, 2 Cor 7:10 speaks of godly sorrow that leads to repentance then salvation but sorrow of the world leads to death. Satan led many to death. Through devious acts starting as early as Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden (Genesis 3:1-20) when Satan appeared as the serpent, he deceived Eve to think she could have all the knowledge by eating the apple from the tree of knowledge of good and evil when God clearly commanded not eat of it, stating it would lead to death (Gen 2:16-17). Can Satan repent and be saved? No. The word of God does not make mention of Satans forgiveness. Remember that Satan deceived the whole world according to Rev 12:7-9 and is already condemned to eternal destruction (2 Thess. 1:7-9). Satan shall be tormented day and night in the lake of fire. In Pauls prayer to Israel he states, If thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shall be saved (Romans 10:9). Satan will not be raised from the dead eternally nor did he submit himself to righteousness of God but wanted to live exalted above God (Romans 10:3). Satan is unrighteousness, and wicked by his iniquities (Matt 25:46). Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid (Romans 9:14). The bible does not state anything concerning salvation or redemption for Satan. What will happen? In Revelations 20, the judgment is stated, pay close attention to the word SHALL. There is no doubt, no maybes in

Danielle M. Lyons Gods word as it relates to the Satans demise; therefore he SHALL be condemned forever and ever (Rev 20:10). Only those saved with their name in book of life will be saved from second death (Rev 20:15). One must remember that many are deceived and will be cast into destruction for not knowing Him (God). All must appear before the judgment seat of Christ whether it be good or bad (2 Cor 5:10-11). Satan was already judged justly for his deceitfulness and pride in his evil nature. We are to live Christ-like in His image. We must glorify God by preaching the Gospel and abide by the great commission according to Matt 28:16-20. We must know the word of God to living righteously. For some it is too late. This situation is the case for Satan; it is too late for him and the other fallen angels. For someone who is not a Christian remember that sin separates us from God. God wants the glory, to allow people to be saved through Christ the Savior. Many will cry Lord, Lord but will not enter the narrow gates of heaven (Matthew 7:22-23). Non-Christians should continue to search for the truth in God. Prayerfully a Christian will reach them while in this temporary dwelling place because according to John 9:31. For all, Do not be like Satan, instead Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself (Luke 10:27). All Christians should love their neighbors teaching the gospel and prayerfully bringing souls to Christ. We should submit to God. Resist the devil and he WILL flee from you James 4:7-8 (James, 2011).
