How do major cities emulate the society as a whole!

Habits, Interaction with the peers, consumption patterns are some of the elements based on which a group of individuals are classified. With the ramification in the family structure, these elements are instilled in the lineage, resulting in the evolution of a new society defined by these elements. Various physical establishments which are found in major cities like restaurants, malls, hospitals, educational institutions should have erupted catering to the needs of such a society. Looking from the bottom to top approach, it is crystal clear that the formation of a society engenders the formation of various physical establishments found in major cities. Restaurants serve savories and dishes which the locals like. Groceries supply indigenous crops in excess. Educational institutions offer courses catering to the aspirations of the people. Hospitals reveal the endemic diseases prevalent in the society. Commutation defines the lifestyle of the people. Malls supply contemporary furnishings, cloths, electronic gadgets and other accessories that are in vogue to entice people. Places of worship show the inclination of the people to a specific religion and idol. Study of any establishment in a city would give us an insight into the particular society. For any statistics, the major cities are taken into account for generalization. Lately, the Indian Government had revealed a statistical study of crime rates in metropolitan cities like Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore following the gang rape which caused national outrage. Thus the crime rate in Indian metropolitan society has been generalized with the data pertaining to selected metropolitan cities. Furthermore, Surat holds the appellation City of Diamonds. This shows that the diamonds are not only made and sold in Surat. Even the adjoining suburban areas and hamlets are being referred to. The same applies to Hyderabad known as City of pearls and Ahmedabad known as Manchestor of India. Paradoxically in Mumbai, the local trains are a major means of transport among all classes. Such subtle differences across societies can also be etched out by analyzing the major cities. With no further explication, it can be concluded that the major cities with their inanimate yet anthropomorphic structures define the characteristics of the society when observed and analyzed with prudence.
