1984-2003 Teacher in Math and Physics (High School and colleges) in Africa (Abidjan)and in Dearborn (AIA Academy) 2003-2005 Principal at the AIA Academy (complete design of a curriculum for grades 7 to 12). Created committees of teachers to supervise and monitor progress per subject and per student. 2005-2006 Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, research assistant in stem cells migration in the brain after a stroke, assisted in isolating stem cells in genetically prepared mice that undergo stroke. 2005-2006 Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, Michigan. Radiation Oncology course toward the degree requirement and in collaboration with Oakland University. Training on radiation protocols and dose administration. 2005-2008 Oakland University, Graduate Research assistant in Biomedical physics (Dr Bradley Roth) I wrote a computer program (FORTRAN) to simulate cardiac activity and to study the response to strong shocks. Main topics are the bidomain model of the myocardium and the Beeler-Reuter model of the ionic channels. Strong emphasis in creating and terminating fibrillation by studying reentrant waves. Research topic was on the Upper Limit of Vulnerability (ULV) of the heart, I was able to prove the existence of the ULV and explain its mechanism based on tissue heterogeneities. I wrote my dissertation under the supervision of Dr Bradley Roth on the ULV. 2008-2010 Research Associate at the Middle-East Center for Research on Arrhythmia (MECRA in Beirut, Lebanon). In charge of an interdisciplinary program to promote a unified field of sciences integrating physics, mathematics, biology and chemistry. Complete proposal for a Medical Physics program to the Beirut Arab University (BAU) for undergraduate and graduate studies, offering a Bachelor, Masters and a PhD in Medical Physics or Bio- Medical Sciences, program is under review for possible implementation in 2012-1015.

2010-Current Research Associate at Beaumont Health System collaborating with Drs David Haines, Gilbert Ralph and Amr Abass: computer simulation in cardiac electrophysiology; MRI and speckle tracking echocardiography to reconstruct the cardiac architecture; hemodynamic studies using blood fluid mechanics. Human Heart Computer 3D-modeling using the mathematical model of the cardiac tissue (bidomain model) and the mathematical models of the human ventricle cells and the Purkinje Fibers (TNNP and Stewart et al models). Cardiac fiber reconstruction and mathematical representation to be integrated into the 3D model for simulation of realistic clinical conditions. Building a patientspecific computer simulation of the whole-heart to reproduce healthy and diseased conditions. Community activities

1984-2003 Awareness programs for parents participation in their childrens education at home (Enhanced Home Program) 2003-2004 Dearborn safety and awareness programs for children. Astronomical courses to incite students to star gazing during the summer. Set up telescope nights to watch sky events to promote sciences vs. video gaming.

Objectives

I would like to be involved in scientific research, be able to participate and contribute in improving the future of human kind. Because of the scientific understanding and the advanced imaging techniques, I believe that non invasive techniques and computer simulations are fundamental in studying human health problems. Good models can not only help us understand mechanisms at the cellular level but they provide good directions for curing many diseases. I would like to contribute to the medical field using my mathematical, physics and biological knowledge. I believe that my experimental and theoretical experience give me strong tools for a serious research in any field of Medical Physics. I strongly believe in the future of a unified science that will comprise expertise in many fields such as physics, medicine, biology, chemistry and mathematics. Medical Physics will greatly improve non-invasive techniques in medicine and reduce the risk associated with surgery.

Extracurricular activities

I would like to create and promote a non-profit organization for saving the children worldwide. I am seeking a social and scientific status to enable me to reach out and improve the childrens conditions. I believe that we have the ability, the potential and the strength to save a child every second of our life from hunger, depravation or abuses. Sports oriented, I play soccer, basketball and tennis. I love classical music. I enjoy nature, camping and cross-country driving. I like to discover places and meet people from different origins. I read a lot of scientific papers and books and I like to write about existence, principles and virtue.
