Pray the Prayer of Blessing (Right after the greeting)

The priest approaches de Wreath and says the following prayer:

God, by whose word all things are sanctified, pour forth thy blessing upon this wreath, and grant that we who use it may prepare our hearts for the coming of Christ and may receive from Thee abundant graces. Through Christ our Lord People: Amen. Sprinkle the Advent Wreath With Holy Water The priest sprinkles the Advent wreath with holy water. Family Lighting First Candle. The priest will invite the family chosen to light the candle to come up. The penitential right is sung during the lighting of the candle. The follows the Opening Prayer

Oracin de Bendicin (Despus del saludo inicial)

El sacerdote despus del saludo se acerca a la corona y hace la siguiente oracin:

eor Dios, bendice con tu poder nuestra corona de adviento para que, al encenderla, despierte en nosotros el deseo de esperar la venida de Cristo practicando las buenas obras, y para que as, cuando l llegue, seamos admitidos al Reino de los Cielos. Te lo pedimos por Cristo nuestro Seor. Pueblo: Amn. Aspersin de la Corona de Adviento El sacerdote pone agua bendita a la Corona de Adviento. Familia que va a encender la 1 Vela El sacerdote invita a la familia escogida a encender la 1 vela que pase. El rito penitencial sucede durante este momento, despus sigue la Oracin Colecta.
