Dear Parents/Carers What a fantastic sight it was seeing all parts of the St Christophers school familyparents, children, governors and staff working together to tidy up the school a couple of Saturdays ago. It seemed a never-ending battle clearing up all the leaves, but I hope you agree at how much better the school was looking after all the efforts. Thank you! I do hope you found the parents evening informative. I know we ran a little bit behind on some appointments so my apologies for that. Any suggestions on how we could improve these evenings would be most welcome. It has been a very frustrating week for me not being in due to my bad back and having to postpone the parents information evening, but rest assured I have spent the time collating all your questionnaire responses and am looking forward to being back next week. Mr Shaw Goodwin - Headteacher

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD If you popped in to school at the beginning of term you would have seen the boxes mounting daily ready for collection by Ann Jerome on behalf of Operation Christmas Child. We did manage a quick count and in excess of 65 were collected from St Christophers! The boxes have now begun their journey for the children to receive in time for Christmas.

YEAR 4 VIP VIOLIN ASSEMBLY THURSDAY 13TH DECEMBER 2012 2.30PM

Parents, friends and families are invited to join the Year 4 Children on Thursday afternoon in the school hall. The children have worked very hard over the term and are looking forward to sharing their music talents with you.

The Lunchtime Ladies will be holding a toy and book sale at the SCPA Christmas Fayre on Saturday 8th December 2012. They are, therefore, requesting donations of any good quality toys or books or unwanted gifts which they can then sell. All proceeds will go towards resources for lunchtime activities that all the children have the opportunity to participate in at lunchtimes.

We did have a limited amount of spare swimming kit and towels for the children. This has now all been handed out and appears not to have been returned. Please could you check at home and return to the school office as appropriate. If you have any spare kit or towels you would like to donate these would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Help us keep the spread of germs in school to a minimum by following this advice from the NHS.

CATCH IT germs spread easily. Always carry tissues and

use them to catch your cough or sneeze.

We have already collected 130 tokens which have been sent off and banked so we can receive bonus tokens! If your family eats Nestle cereals, please remember to tear off the token on the top of the box and bring it in to school. It takes as little as 10 tokens to get one book so the more tokens we collect the more books we can receive for school thank you

BIN IT germs can live for several hours on tissues.

Dispose of your tissue as soon as possible.

KILL IT hands can transfer germs to every surface you

touch. Clean your hands as soon as you can.

PLEASE NOTE that if your child has unfortunately

had sickness and/or diarrhoea the recommended period by the Health Protection Agency & the School Nurse, for children to be kept away from school is 48 hours from the last episode of diarrhoea and/or vomiting.
