Manager Information Systems, Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd., Kolkata, Dec 2003 Present Roles & Responsibilities: Entrusted with the responsibility to work on Cisco, Nortel Router Installation and Configuration, configuration and monitoring along with troubleshooting. Successfully handle all aspects of maintenance functions in Gigabit local area network and leased line/ISDN based Wide Area Networking. In charge for Network management and administration encompassing monitoring LAN devices (Ethernet switches and WAN routers). Installed, configured and administered WAN devices, Cisco & Nortel routers. Designed and implemented support for WAN. Look after vendor management, handle IT procurement and undertake technical bid analysis and technical negotiation for procurements.

Projects Undertaken: Gigabit LAN Migration (9 months) Perform the functions of a Team Leader, entrusted with the responsibility for project migration of the corporate office along with the research and development centre LAN to Gigabit LAN using Cisco Products. Assessment of Network Security (Implementation of BS7799) (6 months) Presently working as a Team Leader while handling different phases encompassing security policy, security organization, assets classification and control, personnel security, physical and environmental security, communications and operations management, access control, systems development and maintenance along with business continuity management and compliance. Design and Pre- Implementation of HPLs WAN Setup (4 months) Successfully completed the above project while ensuring secured and cost effective design using a point-to-point link between offices. Implemented project using Nortel routers, primarily link is leased line and the secondary is ISDN and tertiary is VSAT. New Design resulted to profit, which was over 55%. Implementation and configuration of Etrust Firewall v 3.0 (3 months) Implementation consisted of Etrust (v3.0) intranet, Internet, firewalls and IDS. Designed scalable HPL network with high security aspects, with the policies being well structured and configured accordingly in the firewalls. Security features were audited and eventually considered in project design. Re- Implementation of HPL Plant Internet Setup After ISP Changeover 15 days Reconfigured required devises by new pool of IP addresses. Successfully reconfigured Cisco 2620 router, ETrust firewalls both for Internet/Intranet and DMZ after assigning new connectivity with necessary equipments. Reconfigured DMZ servers (e.g.webmail/DNS/SMTP) of different applications with new parameters. Configuration of MRTG (15 days): Functioned as a Team Member and handled configuration/installation for MRTG software to validate /check the utilization of bandwidth of WAN.

Firewall & Security (3 months): o o o Installed Nortel Alteon with checkpoint by replacing the existing E-Trust firewalls as an integral team member for a four-member team. Designed scalable HPL network with high security aspects, with the policies being well structured and configured accordingly in the firewalls. Security features were audited and eventually considered in project design.

NIS Engineer, Network Solutions Ltd., Kolkata, Nov 2002 Nov 2003 Roles & Responsibilities: Provided support to the Standard Chartered Bank for maintaining the network for them, which included Cisco 7200 routers, Cisco 2600 routers along with the maintenance of leased lines and ISDNs. Implemented new leased lines and configured routers.

Project Executed: Undertook network implementation of IIBI, which encompassed configuration of chanelized E1, and implementation of leased lines. Configured VOIP with the use of Cisco 2600 router, Cisco 1700 router and Cisco IP phones and Call Manager. Effected network implementation of Citi Financial which entailed configuration of leased lines in Cisco 1721 routers and ISDN backup along with the execution of leased line and ISDN.

Systems Executive, Shriram City Union Finance Ltd., Kolkata, Oct 2001 Oct 2002 Roles & Responsibilities: Effectively maintained leased line and ISDN network, configured and troubleshooted RAS. Implemented the process of laying the leased line from Kolkata to 30 different locations. Maintained and managed large networks which encompassed 400 numbers of branches. Configured and managed Cisco 803, Cisco805, Cisco770, Cisco1720, Cisco2600 and Cisco3600 series routers. CMS Computers Limited, Kolkata, Sep 1999 Sep 2001 Roles & Responsibilities: Deputed as FM Engineer in IDBI Supervised and monitored 121 machines along with Win NT 4.0, Linux 6.2 and Sun Solaris Servers. Installed and configured terminal emulation software like Kermit and Telnet. Successfully installed proxy server in Linux through squid and Internet connection through ISDN router.

Deputed as FM Engineer in Global Tele Systems Ltd., (ISP) Regularly monitored and maintained the ATLAS Messaging System. Responsible for Unix System Administration (Sun Solaris). Maintained RAS & SNS servers running in Win NT environment. Provided hardware solutions and network support to the clients.
