Polyester
Opening of fibre structure by using carrier By using High Temp High Pressure HTHP 130oC Thermosol method (190oC) Solvent Dyeing(use of solvent in place of water as a medium of dyeing)
Polyester
Fibre stage Yarn stage (Beam dyeing m/c) Knitted & light weight fabric(Jet dyeing m/c) Medium & heavy wt.fabric stage(Beam m/c, Thermosol process)
Dyebath is set with 1g/l Dispersing agent, 0.5g/l wetting agent 0.50.5-1 g/l levelling agent pH 5.5 to 6 with the help of acetic acid
Temp is raised to 90 o C within 15 minutes Temp is further raised to constantly say 1o C /minute, the temp is raised 130 o C in 40 minute. Dyed material is washed, reduction cleared, soaped as
Advantage
Yarn & texturised fabric can be dyed by this fabric Low M:L ratio is used so less amount of dyes & chemicals are required
Disadvantage
The process is batch wise so small quantity of fabric can be dyed at one time.
Temp is raised to boil within 30 minutes The dyeing is continued at boil for 2 hours. Dyed material is washed, reduction cleared & soaped
Advantage
Disadvantage
The carriers are costly;the cost of dyeing & the process of dyeing is rather lengthy The light fastness of the dyeing is badly affected.
Thermosol
1.
1.
Equipment: Initial Dryer: Infrared dryer Final Dryer : Hot flue dryer, cylinder dryer
3. Thermofixation at 190oC to 210oC for 90 to 60 seconds Equipment : Super heated steamer, curing chamber.
Advantage
It is continuous process, therefore, large quantities of the material can be dyed more economically than by the batch process. Heavy fabrics can be dyed & heat set simultaneously
Disadvantage
The method is not economical for short run fabrics. Yarn can not be dyed by this method.
