Creating steps

As graduate of advertising I got the chance to apply creative ideas to functional artworks. Looking forward to learning the process of creating new ways of interactive design is one of my expectations. My interest began unconsciously when I was 6 years old I woke up a morning, and on the table there were a pencil a paper and a newspaper with some Flintstones cartoons. I took the pencil and started drawing, my parents were amazed of the skills demonstrated, because I did not know how to write nor read, but I made a draw with no help. My high school was a technical computer science in which my hobby of drawing combined with the technology awaked in me the desire of creating video games. Later while attending to college I went to the Institute of Technology of Las Americas in Santo Domingo. Taking these extra courses in the Technological Institute of Las Americas in Santo Domingo leaded me to a higher level in art appreciation through softwares like Photoshop, Illustrator, Autodesk Maya, Zbrush and others, developing the skills of create digital drawings, characters and environments in professional way. At that place I went to a Conference about graphic Design that opened my mind. It treated about the Motivation, talent and Disposition to do big things in the world of graphic design. My idea of creating breathtaking and unforgettable artworks through 3D animations came step by step. It started with toy story I, and with the time the most inspirer were Toy Story 3, Kung Fu Panda and How to Train Your Dragon. A famous teacher in the Art College of the Universidad Autonoma de Santo Domingo, take me to a very high level in the development of pencil drawing. With that teacher my goal was to find the better way to get the highest contrast in drawings and the best balanced composition. I achieved the goal through my research of the combination of the Mars Lumograph number 8 pencil. I made Popular the style of using pencil number 8 for drawings, giving them the major contrast. And participated in expositions creating amazing artworks that allowed me to obtain awards as the most outstanding artworks in 2008 and 2009 and recognized as highest quality among other students; thus, showing capabilities to create delightful characters and environments. Volunteered as sub director of the Immersion times newspaper, for the Juan Bosch Center in Dominican Republic, leading the design and illustration with delightful layouts and caricatures, released with 2,000 copies on November 2011. In 2012, I released the 3D animated commercial for the internet, made for the now winner, presidential candidate of the Dominican Republic for that year. In my free time I used to play chess for fun, but at the same time that trained my mind in solving problems, not only on the board but in life since I thought in problems like position in chess. One of my goals is to convey ideas while being interesting and easy to understand to the audiences. The reason I want to study the MFA Computer Graphic Design (Interaction Design Option) is because in that way I will be able to help other students in the Dominican Republic to make better Visual Communication at the same time that improve the quality of design.
