Abstract : (Would be delivered in BENGALI) TIME DIALATION AND QUEST OF MODERN SCIENCE IN HINDU LITERATURE.

Sri Ranjan Ghosh Vivekananda Vijnan Mission. Kolkata Some of the facts or story in Hindu mythology was seemed as ridiculous or lunatic before 1905. But after knowing the Einsteins special theory of relativity, published in 1905, we can explain those facts in the light of modern science. The first casualty of the special theory was the belief that time is absolute and universal. Einstein demonstrated that time in, in fact, elastic and can be stretched and shrunk by motion. Each observer carries around his own personal scale to time and it does not generally agree with anybody elses. In our own frame, time never appears distorted, but relative to another observer who is moving differently, our time can be wrenched out of step with their time. This phenomena in called Time dialation. This leads to the famous twins effect in which an astronaut returns from a high-speed voyage some years younger than his Earthbound twin. Using this concept we can explain the consistency of age of different GODS, as we know time dialation can affect biological age also. Biological reactions are also a physical reactions and all physical reactions follow some natural laws. Time dialation is nothing but a natural law, Moreover we can calculate the velocity of Brahmaloka or different swarga (heavens) if we know the distorted or dialated time of different media. Now a days, a group of scientist does not believe that Nature is indifferent to the direction of time. They think time can go in a reversal way and as a result time can go from future to past. Hypothetical faster-than light particles (called tachyons) could accomplish this. And in this way we can explain how our ancient sages performed their activities going back to past in this time reversal way There once was a lady called Bright, She could travel faster than Light; She went out one day In an Einsteinian way And came back the previous night.

Abstract : TREATMENT OF EAR DISEASE IN ANCIENT INDIA Sri Ranjan Ghosh Vivekananda Vijnan Mission. Kolkata Sushrutra Samhita in essentially a multi-volume taxt book reporting the surgical practices in ancient India. It covers all aspect of surgery. However specific references are collected regarding ear disease, their description and subsequent treatments often being described in some detail. In this paper I outline the structure of the document and attempt to explain its underlying philosophies. I highlight the specific references to otological diseases and their treatment and draw the obvious comparisons with modern otological practice. Despite fundamentally different philosophical approaches to the teaching and practice of medicine it is perhaps surprising how much interest and thought had been dedicated to ear treatment. Study of the anatomy of the ear, description of otological pathology and consequent treatment of specific conditions was quite elaborate, with many of the underlying principles of treatment still existing in our current practice. It is very easy in these days of high tech medicine to believe we have all answers. On the contrary, many of the diseases described in this paper are still unconquered, despite our current technology, we should appreciate how advanced, rather than backward our ancient predecessors were and reflect on the need to remain humble throughout our study life.
