El Conmutador Core deber cumplir con las siguientes caractersticas mnimas: Fuente de poder redundante. Cantidad de puertos SFP : 4 a mas Cantidad de Puertos RJ45 de 1G : 40 a mas Soporte trafico multimedia, a travs del protocolo PIM, IGMP V1, 2, y 3 Switch Capa 3, que soporte los protocolos: ospf. Capacidad de forwarding rate mayor a 80 mpps. Soporte los protocolos: Vlan Traunking y tagging, Link Agregation, SPT, RSPT. Deber soportar al menos 500 vlans y 200 instancias de SPT.
