22.
And why should I not worship the One Who has created me and to Whom you will be returned? 23. Should I take other gods besides Him? If the Most Gracious intends for me any harm, their intercession will not avail me at all, nor can they save me. 24. Indeed, I would then be in a clear error. Indeed, I have 25. believed in your Lord, so listen to me.` It was said, Ènter 26. Paradise.` He said, Ò would that! My people knew Of how my Lord 27. has forgiven me and placed me among the honored ones.` 28. And We did not send down upon his people after him any host from the heaven, nor do We ever send down. It was not but one 29. shout, then behold! They were extinguished. 30. Alas for the servants! There did not come to them a Messenger but they used to mock him. Do they not see 31. how many generations We destroyed before them? They (those who were destroyed) will not return to them. 32. And surely all of them will be brought before Us. 33. And a sign for them is the dead earth. We give life to it,

That they may eat of its fruit. And their hands have not produced it. So will they not be grateful? 36. And the moon, We have ordained for it phases, until it returns like the old date stalk. 40. It is not permitted for the sun to overtake the moon, nor can the night outstrip the day, but all are floating in an orbit. 41. And a Sign for them is that We carried their offspring in the laden ship. 42. And We created for them the likes of it on which they ride. 43. And if We will, We could drown them; then no

one responding to a cry would there be for them, nor would they be saved, 44. Except by Mercy from Us and provision for a time. 45. And when it is said to them, ` Fear what is before you and what is behind you, so that you may receive mercy.` And no Sign 46. comes to them from the Signs of their Lord, but they turn away from it. 47. And when it is said to them, ` Spend from what Allah has provided you.` Those who disbelieved said to those who believed, ` Should we feed whom, if Allah willed, He would have fed him?` You are not but in a clear error. When 48. And they say, ` will this promise (be fulfilled), if you are truthful? 49. They do not await except one shout, which will seize them while they are disputing. 50. Then they will not be able to make a will, nor can they return to their people. 51. And the trumpet will be blown, and behold! From the graves, they will hasten to their Lord. They will say, ` O 52. woe to us! Who has raised us from our sleeping place?`(It will be said), ` This is what the Most Gracious had promised, and the Messengers told the truth.`

It will be a single 53. shout, so behold! They will all be brought before Us. 54. So this Day no soul will be wronged in the least, and you will not be recompensed except for what you used to do.
Indeed, the 55. companions of Paradise on that Day will be occupied in amusement, 56. They and their spouses will be in shades, reclining on couches.
57. They will have therein fruits, and whatever they call for. ` Peace.` A word 58. from a Lord Most Merciful.
` stand apart But 59. this Day, O criminals!
60. Did I not enjoin upon you, O Children of Adam! That do not worship the Shaitaan, indeed, he is your clear enemy, 61. And that you should worship Me? This is the straight Path.
And indeed, he led 62. astray a great multitude of you. Then did you not use reason? 63. This is the Hell which you were promised.
Burn therein this 64. Day because you used to disbelieve.`
65. This Day We will seal their mouths and their hands will speak to Us, and their feet will bear witness

And if We willed 67. surely We would have transformed them in their places, then they would not be able to proceed, nor could they return. And he whom We 68. grant long life, We reverse him in creation. Then will they not use their intellect? And We have not 69. taught him poetry, nor is it befitting for him. It is not but a Reminder and a clear Quran, 70. To warn him who is alive, and the Word may be proved true against the disbelievers. 71. Do they not see that We have created for them from what Our hands have made, the cattle, then they are their owners? And We have 72. tamed them (i.e., cattle) for them, so some of them they ride, and some of them they eat. 73. And for them therein are (other) benefits and drinks, so will they not give thanks? 74. But they have taken gods besides Allah, that they may be helped.

And he sets forth 78. for Us example and forgets his (own) creation. He says, ` Who will give life to the bones while they are decomposed?`
Say, ` 79. He Who produced them the first time will give them life. And He is All-Knower of every creation.` 80. The One Who made for you fire from the green tree, and behold! You ignite from it. 81. Is it not He Who created the heavens and the earth Able to create the like of them. Yes, indeed! He is the Supreme Creator, the All-Knower. 82. His Command, when He intends a thing, is only that He says to it, ` Be,ànd it is.
So glorified be 83. He - Who in Whose hand is the dominion of all things, and to Him you will be returned.

3. And those who recite the Message, 4. Indeed, your Lord is One, 5. Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them and Lord of each point of sunrise. 6. Indeed, We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment of stars. And to guard against every rebellious devil, (So) they may not listen to the exalted assembly and are pelted from every side,

9. Repelled; and for them is a perpetual punishment, 10. Except him who snatches by theft, but follows him a piercing burning flame. 11. Then ask them, ` Are they a stronger creation or those whom We have created? Indeed, We created them from sticky clay. 12. Nay, you wonder, while they mock. 13. And when they are reminded, they do not receive admonition. 14. And when they see a Sign, they mock, 15. And they say, ` This is nothing but a clear magic.

23. Besides Allah, and lead them to the path of the Hellfire. 24. And stop them; indeed, they are to be questioned.` 25. (They will be asked), `What is (the matter) with you? Why do you not help one another?` 26. Nay, they will surrender on that Day.
27. And they will approach one another questioning each other.
28. They will say, Ìndeed, you used to come to us from the right.` 29. They will say, `Nay, you were not believers,
30. And We had no authority over you. Nay, you were a transgressing people. 31. So the Word of our Lord has been proved true against us; indeed, we

In Gardens of Delight 44. On thrones facing each other. 45. A cup will be circulated among them from a flowing spring, 46. White, delicious for the drinkers; 47. No bad effect is there in it, and they will not be intoxicated by it. 48. And with them will be companions of modest gaze having beautiful eyes, 49. As if they were eggs, well protected.

Allah,` except for a poet the Messengers. And not 38 Except 39 Gardens In Will be circulated delicious from it they 49

50. And they will approach one another, questioning each other. A speaker among 51. them will say, ` Indeed, I had a companion, Who would say, 52. ` Are you indeed of those who believe? 53. That when we have died and become dust and bones, will we surely be brought to Judgment?` ` He will say, ` Will 54. you look?` 55. Then he will look and see him in the midst of the Hellfire. By 56. He will say, ` Allah, verily, you almost ruined me. 57. And had it not been for the Grace of my Lord, I would certainly have been among those brought (to Hell).` 58. Then, are we not to die, 59. Except for our first death, and we will not be punished?` 60. Indeed, this is a great attainment. 61. For the like of this, let the workers work. 62. Is that better hospitality or the tree of Zaqqum? Indeed, We have 63. made it a trial for the wrongdoers. Indeed, it is a tree 64. that grows in the bottom of the Hellfire, 65. Its emerging fruit is as if it was heads of the devils. And indeed, they 66. will eat from it and fill their bellies with it.

67. Then indeed, they will have a mixture of boiling water. 68. Then indeed, their return will be to the Hellfire. 69. Indeed, they found their fathers astray. 70. So they hastened (to follow) their footsteps.
71. And verily, went astray most of the former people. 72. And verily, We sent warners among them.
73. Then see how was the end of those who were warned, 74. Except the chosen slaves of Allah.
75. And verily, Nuh called Us; and We are the Best of Responders.
76. And We saved him and his family from the great distress. And We made his 77. offspring the survivors. And 78. We (mention) of among generations.

Indeed, thus We 80. reward the good-doers.
81. Indeed, he was of Our believing slaves. 82. Then We drowned the others.
83. And indeed, among his kind was Ibrahim, 84. When he came to his Lord with a sound heart, 85. When he said to his father and his people, ` What do you worship?

And he said, ` am sick.` So they turned away 90. from him, departing. Then he turned to 91. their gods and said, ` Do you not eat? 92. What is (the matter) with you that you do not speak?` 93. Then he turned upon them, striking with his right hand. 94. Then they advanced towards him, hastening. Do 95. He said, ` you worship that which you carve? 96. While Allah created you? And that which you make?` Build a 97. They said, ` structure (furnace) for him and throw him into the blazing Fire.` 98. And they intended for him a plot, but We made them the lowest. Indeed, I 99. And he said, ` am going to my Lord, He will guide me. 100. My Lord grant me (a child) from among the righteous.` 101. So We gave him the glad tidings of a forbearing boy. Then when he 102. (Ibrahim` son) reached s (the age of) working with him, he said, ` my son! O Indeed, I have seen in a dream that I should offer you as a sacrifice, so look what you consider.`He said, ` my father! Do O what

86 (that) you desire? Allah other than gods Is it falsehood Then he glanced 87 (of) the worlds?` about (the) Lord (do) you think 89 sick.` ` Indeed, I am And he said, 88 the stars, at their gods to Then he turned 90 departing. from him 92 you speak?` not for you What (is) 91 you eat? Then they advanced 93 with his right hand. striking you carve? what ` you worship Do He said, 94 hastening. They said, 96 you make?` And what created you? While Allah 97 the blazing Fire.` into and throw him a structure 98 the lowest. but We made them a plot, for him 99 He will guide me. my Lord, to going ` Indeed, I am So We gave him the glad tidings 100 the righteous.` of me grant the (age of) working with him he reached Then when 101 sacrificing you, that I am the dream in have seen what Do ` my father! O Verily, you have 105. fulfilled the vision.` Indeed, We thus reward the good-doers. 106. Indeed, this was a clear trial. 107. And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, And We left 108. (mention) of him among later generations. Peace be upon 109. ` Ibrahim.` 110. Thus We reward the good-doers. 111. Indeed, he was of Our believing slaves. And We gave him 112. glad tidings of Ishaq, a Prophet from among the righteous. 113. And We blessed him and Ishaq. And some among their offspring are good-doers and some are clearly unjust to themselves. And verily, We 114. conferred Favor on Musa and Harun. 115. And We saved them and their people from the great distress, And We helped 116. them, so they became the victors. 117. And We gave them the clear Book. 118. And We guided them to the Straight Path. And We left 119. (mention)

Except an old woman was among those who remained behind. 136. Then We destroyed the others. 137. And indeed, you pass by their (ruins) in the morning, 138. And at night. Then will you not use reason?

22. And why should I not worship the One Who has created me and to Whom you will be returned? 23. Should I take other gods besides Him? If the Most Gracious intends for me any harm, their intercession will not avail me at all, nor can they save me. 24. Indeed, I would then be in a clear error. Indeed, I have 25. believed in your Lord, so listen to me.` It was said, Ènter 26. Paradise.` He said, Ò would that! My people knew Of how my Lord 27. has forgiven me and placed me among the honored ones.` 28. And We did not send down upon his people after him any host from the heaven, nor do We ever send down. It was not but one 29. shout, then behold! They were extinguished. 30. Alas for the servants! There did not come to them a Messenger but they used to mock him. Do they not see 31. how many generations We destroyed before them? They (those who were destroyed) will not return to them. 32. And surely all of them will be brought before Us. 33. And a sign for them is the dead earth. We give life to it,

and We bring forth from it grain, and they eat from it. 34. And We placed therein gardens of datepalms and grapevines, and We caused the springs to gush forth from it, 35. That they may eat of its fruit. And their hands have not produced it. So will they not be grateful? 36. Glory be to the One created all Who (species) in pairs - what the earth grows and of themselves, and of what they do not know. 37. And a Sign for them is the night. We withdraw from it the day. Then behold! They are in darkness. And the sun runs 38. to a term appointed for it. That is the Decree of the All-Mighty, the AllKnowing. 39. And the moon, We have ordained for it phases, until it returns like the old date stalk. 40. It is not permitted for the sun to overtake the moon, nor can the night outstrip the day, but all are floating in an orbit. 41. And a Sign for them is that We carried their offspring in the laden ship. 42. And We created for them the likes of it on which they ride. 43. And if We will, We could drown them; then no

one responding to a cry would there be for them, nor would they be saved, 44. Except by Mercy from Us and provision for a time. 45. And when it is said to them, ` Fear what is before you and what is behind you, so that you may receive mercy.` And no Sign 46. comes to them from the Signs of their Lord, but they turn away from it. 47. And when it is said to them, ` Spend from what Allah has provided you.` Those who disbelieved said to those who believed, ` Should we feed whom, if Allah willed, He would have fed him?` You are not but in a clear error. When 48. And they say, ` will this promise (be fulfilled), if you are truthful? 49. They do not await except one shout, which will seize them while they are disputing. 50. Then they will not be able to make a will, nor can they return to their people. 51. And the trumpet will be blown, and behold! From the graves, they will hasten to their Lord. They will say, ` O 52. woe to us! Who has raised us from our sleeping place?`(It will be said), ` This is what the Most Gracious had promised, and the Messengers told the truth.`

It will be a single 53. shout, so behold! They will all be brought before Us. 54. So this Day no soul will be wronged in the least, and you will not be recompensed except for what you used to do.
Indeed, the 55. companions of Paradise on that Day will be occupied in amusement, 56. They and their spouses will be in shades, reclining on couches.
57. They will have therein fruits, and whatever they call for. ` Peace.` A word 58. from a Lord Most Merciful.
` stand apart But 59. this Day, O criminals!
60. Did I not enjoin upon you, O Children of Adam! That do not worship the Shaitaan, indeed, he is your clear enemy, 61. And that you should worship Me? This is the straight Path.
And indeed, he led 62. astray a great multitude of you. Then did you not use reason? 63. This is the Hell which you were promised.
Burn therein this 64. Day because you used to disbelieve.`
65. This Day We will seal their mouths and their hands will speak to Us, and their feet will bear witness

And if We willed 67. surely We would have transformed them in their places, then they would not be able to proceed, nor could they return. And he whom We 68. grant long life, We reverse him in creation. Then will they not use their intellect? And We have not 69. taught him poetry, nor is it befitting for him. It is not but a Reminder and a clear Quran, 70. To warn him who is alive, and the Word may be proved true against the disbelievers. 71. Do they not see that We have created for them from what Our hands have made, the cattle, then they are their owners? And We have 72. tamed them (i.e., cattle) for them, so some of them they ride, and some of them they eat. 73. And for them therein are (other) benefits and drinks, so will they not give thanks? 74. But they have taken gods besides Allah, that they may be helped.

And he sets forth 78. for Us example and forgets his (own) creation. He says, ` Who will give life to the bones while they are decomposed?`
Say, ` 79. He Who produced them the first time will give them life. And He is All-Knower of every creation.` 80. The One Who made for you fire from the green tree, and behold! You ignite from it. 81. Is it not He Who created the heavens and the earth Able to create the like of them. Yes, indeed! He is the Supreme Creator, the All-Knower. 82. His Command, when He intends a thing, is only that He says to it, ` Be,ànd it is.
So glorified be 83. He - Who in Whose hand is the dominion of all things, and to Him you will be returned.

Indeed, We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment of stars. And to guard against every rebellious devil, (So) they may not listen to the exalted assembly and are pelted from every side,

And when they are reminded, they do not receive admonition. 14. And when they see a Sign, they mock, 15. And they say, ` This is nothing but a clear magic.

27. And they will approach one another questioning each other.
28. They will say, Ìndeed, you used to come to us from the right.` 29. They will say, `Nay, you were not believers,
30. And We had no authority over you. Nay, you were a transgressing people. 31. So the Word of our Lord has been proved true against us; indeed, we

In Gardens of Delight 44. On thrones facing each other. 45. A cup will be circulated among them from a flowing spring, 46. White, delicious for the drinkers; 47. No bad effect is there in it, and they will not be intoxicated by it. 48. And with them will be companions of modest gaze having beautiful eyes, 49. As if they were eggs, well protected.

Allah,` except for a poet the Messengers. And not 38 Except 39 Gardens In Will be circulated delicious from it they 49

50. And they will approach one another, questioning each other. A speaker among 51. them will say, ` Indeed, I had a companion, Who would say, 52. ` Are you indeed of those who believe? 53. That when we have died and become dust and bones, will we surely be brought to Judgment?` ` He will say, ` Will 54. you look?` 55. Then he will look and see him in the midst of the Hellfire. By 56. He will say, ` Allah, verily, you almost ruined me. 57. And had it not been for the Grace of my Lord, I would certainly have been among those brought (to Hell).` 58. Then, are we not to die, 59. Except for our first death, and we will not be punished?` 60. Indeed, this is a great attainment. 61. For the like of this, let the workers work. 62. Is that better hospitality or the tree of Zaqqum? Indeed, We have 63. made it a trial for the wrongdoers. Indeed, it is a tree 64. that grows in the bottom of the Hellfire, 65. Its emerging fruit is as if it was heads of the devils. And indeed, they 66. will eat from it and fill their bellies with it.

67. Then indeed, they will have a mixture of boiling water. 68. Then indeed, their return will be to the Hellfire. 69. Indeed, they found their fathers astray. 70. So they hastened (to follow) their footsteps.
71. And verily, went astray most of the former people. 72. And verily, We sent warners among them.
73. Then see how was the end of those who were warned, 74. Except the chosen slaves of Allah.
75. And verily, Nuh called Us; and We are the Best of Responders.
76. And We saved him and his family from the great distress. And We made his 77. offspring the survivors. And 78. We (mention) of among generations.

81. Indeed, he was of Our believing slaves. 82. Then We drowned the others.
83. And indeed, among his kind was Ibrahim, 84. When he came to his Lord with a sound heart, 85. When he said to his father and his people, ` What do you worship?

And he said, ` am sick.` So they turned away 90. from him, departing. Then he turned to 91. their gods and said, ` Do you not eat? 92. What is (the matter) with you that you do not speak?` 93. Then he turned upon them, striking with his right hand. 94. Then they advanced towards him, hastening. Do 95. He said, ` you worship that which you carve? 96. While Allah created you? And that which you make?` Build a 97. They said, ` structure (furnace) for him and throw him into the blazing Fire.` 98. And they intended for him a plot, but We made them the lowest. Indeed, I 99. And he said, ` am going to my Lord, He will guide me. 100. My Lord grant me (a child) from among the righteous.` 101. So We gave him the glad tidings of a forbearing boy. Then when he 102. (Ibrahim` son) reached s (the age of) working with him, he said, ` my son! O Indeed, I have seen in a dream that I should offer you as a sacrifice, so look what you consider.`He said, ` my father! Do O what

86 (that) you desire? Allah other than gods Is it falsehood Then he glanced 87 (of) the worlds?` about (the) Lord (do) you think 89 sick.` ` Indeed, I am And he said, 88 the stars, at their gods to Then he turned 90 departing. from him 92 you speak?` not for you What (is) 91 you eat? Then they advanced 93 with his right hand. striking you carve? what ` you worship Do He said, 94 hastening. They said, 96 you make?` And what created you? O Verily, you have 105. fulfilled the vision.` Indeed, We thus reward the good-doers. 106. Indeed, this was a clear trial. 107. And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, And We left 108. (mention) of him among later generations. Peace be upon 109. ` Ibrahim.` 110. Thus We reward the good-doers. 111. Indeed, he was of Our believing slaves. And We gave him 112. glad tidings of Ishaq, a Prophet from among the righteous. 113. And We blessed him and Ishaq. And some among their offspring are good-doers and some are clearly unjust to themselves. And verily, We 114. conferred Favor on Musa and Harun. 115. And We saved them and their people from the great distress, And We helped 116. them, so they became the victors. 117. And We gave them the clear Book. 118. And We guided them to the Straight Path. And they believed, so gave them We enjoyment for a while. 149. Then ask them, `Does your Lord have daughters while they have sons?` 150. Or did We create the Angels females while they were witnesses? 151. No doubt, it is out of their falsehood they say, Àllah has 152. begotten,` and indeed, they are liars. 153. Has He chosen daughters over sons? 154. What is (the matter) with you? How do you judge? 155. Then will you not pay heed? 156. Or have you a clear authority? 157. Then bring

Glory be to Allah above what they attribute (to Him). 160. Except the chosen slaves of Allah. 161. So indeed, you and what you worship, 162. You cannot tempt (anyone) away from Him. 163. Except he who is to burn in the Hellfire. (The Angels say), 164. ` And there is none among us but he has a known position. And indeed, we 165. stand in rows. 166. Has the Message been revealed to him out of (all of) us?` Nay, they are in doubt about My Message. Nay, they have not yet tasted My punishment. 9. Or do they have the treasures of the Mercy of your Lord, the AllMighty, the Bestower? 10. Or have they the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them? Then let them ascend by (any) means. They are soldiers 11. (who will be) defeated there among the companies. 12. The people of Nuh and Aad and Firaun, the owner of the stakes, denied before them. 13. And Thamud and the people of Lut, and the companions of the wood. Those were the companies. 14. Each of them denied the Messengers, so My penalty was justified. 15. And these only wait for a single shout; there will be no delay for it. Our 16. And they say, ` Lord! Hasten for us our share before the Day of Account.` 17. Be patient over what they say and remember Our slave Dawood,

the possessor of strength. Indeed, he was repeatedly turning (to Allah). Indeed, We 18. subjected the mountains (to join) him in glorifying (Allah) in the evening and at sunrise. And the birds 19. assembled, all joined him in repeatedly (praising Allah). 20. And We strengthened his kingdom and We gave him wisdom and decisive speech. 21. And has there come to you the news of the litigants, when they climbed over the wall of the chamber? 22. When they entered upon Dawood and he was afraid of them, they said, ` not fear. Do We are two litigants, and one of us has wronged the other, so judge between us in truth and do not be unjust and guide us to an even path. 23. Indeed, this is my brother, he has ninetynine ewes while I have one ewe; so he said, ` Entrust her to me,ànd he overpowered me in speech.` 24. He (Dawood) said, ` Certainly, he has wronged you by demanding your ewe (in addition) to his ewes. And indeed, many partners oppress one another, except those who believe and do righteous deeds and they are few.` And Dawood guessed that We had tried him,

Indeed, We 17 repeatedly turning. and [the] sunrise. in the evening glorifying 19 repeatedly turning. with him all and decisive [the] wisdom and We gave him (of) the litigants, (the) news they entered When 21 fear. ` (Do) not they said, of them, between us so judge another, to [the] path. an even to and guide us while I have ewe(s) ninety-nine in and he overpowered me ` Entrust her to me,` by demanding he has wronged you ` Certainly, certainly oppress the partners of many righteous deeds and do believe those who We (had) tried him, that Dawood

and he asked forgiveness of his Lord and fell down bowing (in prostration) and turned (to Allah) in repentance. 25. So We forgave him for that. And indeed, he had a near access to Us and a good place of return. O 26. ` Dawood! Indeed, We have made you vicegerent on earth, so judge between men in truth and do not follow (your) desire for it will lead you astray from the way of Allah. Indeed, those who go astray from the way of Allah, they will have a severe punishment because they forgot the Day of Account. 27. And We have not created the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them without purpose. That is the assumption of those who disbelieve. So woe to those who disbelieve, from the Fire. 28. Or should We treat those who believe and do righteous deeds like those who spread corruption on the earth? Or should We treat the pious like the wicked? 29. (This is) a blessed Book which, We have revealed to you, that they may ponder over its Verses and those of understanding would be reminded. 30. And to Dawood We gave Sulaiman, an excellent slave. Indeed, he repeatedly turned (to Allah) in repentance.

When they were hidden in the veil; Return 33. (He said), ` them to me.` Then he began to pass (his hand over (their) legs and necks. And certainly We 34. tried Sulaiman, and We placed a body on his throne; then he turned (to Allah). O 35. He said, ` my Lord! Forgive me and grant me a kingdom such as will not belong to anyone after me. Indeed, You are the Bestower.` 36. Then We subjected to him the wind to flow gently by his command wherever he directed, 37. And the devils, every builder and diver, 38. And others bound in chains. This is 39. (Allah said) ` Our gift, so grant or withhold without account.` 40. And indeed, he had a near access to Us and a good place of return. 41. And remember Our slave Ayyub, when he called to his Lord, ` Indeed, Shaitaan has touched me with distress and suffering.` (It was said to 42. him), ` Strike with your foot; this is a spring of water to bathe, cool and a drink.` And We granted 43. him his family

And remember Our slaves Ibrahim, Ishaq, and Ayyub, the possessors of strength and vision. 46. Indeed, We chose them for an exclusive quality; remembrance of the Home (of the Hereafter). 47. And indeed, they are to Us, from the chosen ones, the best. 48. And remember Ismail, Al-Yasa, and Dhul-kifl, all are among the best. 49. This is a Reminder. And indeed, for the righteous ones is a good place of return, Gardens of 50. Eternity, whose gates will be opened for them. 51. Reclining therein, they will call for abundant fruit and drink. 52. And with them will be well-matched companions of modest gaze. 53. This is what you are promised for the Day of Account. 54. Indeed, this is Our provision for which there is no depletion. 55. This is so! And indeed, for the transgressors is an evil

59. This is a company bursting in with you. No welcome for them. Indeed, they will burn in the Fire. 60. They (the followers) will say (to the misleaders), ` Nay! You - no welcome for you. It is you who brought this upon us. So wretched is the settlement. They will say, ` Our 61. Lord, whoever brought this upon us increase for him double punishment in the Fire.`
And they will say, 62. ` Why do we not see men whom we used to count among the bad ones?
Did we take them 63. (wrongly) in ridicule or has (our) vision turned away from them?` Indeed, that is the 64. truth - the quarreling of the people of the Fire. 65. Say (O Muhammad SAWS!), ` am only a I warner; and there is no god except Allah, the One, the Irresistible, 66. Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, the All-Mighty, the Oft-Forgiving. 67. Say, (O Muhammad SAWS!) ` (the Quran) It is a great news,

and wretched is they will burn therein Hell; 55 boiling fluid Then let them taste it, This (is so)! 56 58 (of various) kinds. its type of And other 57 for them. welcome No with you. bursting in no You ` Nay! When your Lord 71. said to the Angels, ` Indeed, I Am going to create a human being from clay. So when I have 72. proportioned him and breathed into him of My spirit, then fall down to him in prostration.` So the Angels 73. prostrated, all of them together. 74. Except Iblis; he was arrogant and became of the disbelievers. O 75. He (Allah) said, ` Iblis! What prevented you from prostrating to one whom I have created with My Hands? Are you arrogant or are you of the exalted ones.` I 76. He (Iblis) said, ` am better than him. You created me from fire and You created him from clay.` 77. He (Allah) said, ` Then get out of it (i.e., Paradise), for indeed, you are accursed. And indeed, upon 78. you is My curse until the Day of Judgment.` My 79. He (Iblis) said, ` Lord! Then give me respite until the Day they are resurrected.` 80. He (Allah) said, ` Then indeed, you are of those given respite, 81. Until the Day of the time

And surely you will know its information after a time.

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. 1.
The revelation of the Book (i.e., the Quran) is from Allah, the AllMighty, the All-Wise.

Indeed, We have revealed to you the Book in truth; so worship Allah being sincere to Him in religion.
3.
Unquestionably, the pure religion is for Allah. And those who take protectors besides Him (say), ` We only worship them so that they may bring us nearer to Allah in position.` Indeed, Allah will judge between them concerning that over which they

differ. Indeed, Allah does not guide one who is a liar and a disbeliever. 4.
If Allah had intended to take a son, He could have chosen from what He creates whomever He willed. Glory be to Him! He is Allah, the One, the Irresistible. He created the heavens and the earth in truth. He wraps the night over the day and wraps the day over the night. And He subjected the sun and the moon, each running for a specified term. Unquestionably, He is the All-Mighty, the Oft-Forgiving.

He created you from one soul. Then He made from it its mate. And He produced for you of the cattle eight kinds. He creates you in the wombs of your mothers, creation after creation, within three layers of darkness. That is Allah your Lord; to belongs the Him dominion. There is no god except Him, then how can you turn away? If you disbelieve, then indeed, Allah is free from need of you. And He does not like ungratefulness in His slaves. And if you are grateful, He likes it in you. And no bearer of burdens will bear the burden

of another. Then to your Lord is your return, then He will inform you about what you used to do. Indeed, He is the All-Knower of what is in the breasts. 8. And when adversity touches man, he calls his Lord turning (in repentance) to Him (alone); then when He bestows upon him a favor from Himself, he forgets that for which he called Him before, and he sets up rivals to Allah to mislead (others) from His Path. Say, ` Enjoy in your disbelief for a little. Indeed, you are one of the companions of the Fire.` Is one who is devoutly obedient during the hours of the night, prostrating and standing, fearing the Hereafter and hoping for the Mercy of his Lord (like one who is not)? Say, ` Are those who know equal to those who do not know?` Only those of understanding will take heed.

O 10. Say, ` My slaves who believe! Fear your Lord. For those who do good in this world is good, and the earth of Allah is spacious. Only the patient will be paid back in full their reward without account.` Say, ` Indeed, I am 11. commanded that I worship Allah, being sincere to Him in religion.

And I have been 12. commanded that I be the first of those who submit.` Say, ` Indeed I 13. fear, if I disobey my Lord, the punishment of a great Day.` Allah (alone) I 14. Say, ` worship, being sincere to Him in my religion.
15. So worship what you will besides Him. ` Say, ` Indeed, the losers are those who will lose themselves and their families on the Day of Resurrection. Unquestionably, that is a manifest loss.` They will have 16. coverings of Fire from above them and from below them. With that Allah threatens His slaves. ` My slaves! O So fear Me.` And those who 17. avoid false gods, lest they worship them and turn to Allah (in repentance), for them is glad tiding. So give glad tidings to My slaves Those who listen 18. to the Word, then follow the best thereof, those are they whom Allah has guided, and those are men of understanding. 19. Then, is one on him is due the word of punishment (equal to one who avoids evil)? Then can you rescue one who is in the Fire? 20. But those who fear their Lord, for them are lofty mansions with lofty mansions above them

built high, beneath which rivers flow. (It is) the Promise of Allah. Allah does not fail in (His) Promise.
21. Do you not see that Allah sends down water from the sky and makes it flow as springs in the earth; then He produces thereby crops of different colors; then they wither and you see them turn yellow; then He makes them debris? Indeed, in that is a reminder for those of understanding. So is one whose 22. breast Allah has expanded for Islam, so that he is upon a light from his Lord (like the hard-hearted)? So woe to those whose hearts are hardened against the remembrance of Allah. Those are in clear error. Allah has 23. revealed the best statement - a Book, its parts resembling each other (and) oftrepeated. The skins of those who fear their Lord shiver from it, then their skins and their hearts relax at the remembrance of Allah. That is the guidance of Allah, He guides with it whom He wills. And whoever Allah lets go astray, then there is no guide for him.
24. Then is he who will shield with his face the worst of the punishment on the Day of Resurrection (like one secure from it)?

(The) Promise the rivers. beneath them from flow that you see Do not 20 (in His) promise. Allah fails Not in (as) springs and He makes it flow water the sky they wither then colors; (of) different crops with it He produces then in Indeed, debris? He makes them then turn yellow; 21 for those of understanding. surely, (is) a reminder (is) upon so he for Islam his breast Allah has expanded from their hearts to (those are) hardened So woe his Lord. from Allah 22 clear. error (are) in Those (its parts) resembling each other a Book (of) [the] statement (the) best their Lord, fear (of) those who (the) skins from it Shiver That (of) Allah. (the) remembrance at and their hearts their skins relax And whoever He wills. whom with it He guides Then (is) he who 23 guide. any for him then not (of) the Resurrection? And it will be said to the wrongdoers, ` Taste what you used to earn.` Those before 25. them denied, so the punishment came upon them from where they did not perceive. So Allah made 26. them taste the disgrace in the life of the world, and certainly the punishment of the Hereafter is greater, if they only knew. And indeed, We 27. have set forth for people in this Quran every kind of example, so that they may take heed. 28. (It is) a Quran in Arabic, without any crookedness, so that they may become righteous. 29. Allah sets forth an example: a man (i.e., slave) belonging to quarreling partners and another belonging exclusively to one man - are they equal in comparison? All praise be to Allah! Nay, most of them do not know. Indeed, you will 30. die and indeed, they will (also) die. Then indeed, on 31. the Day of Resurrection you will dispute before your Lord.
