THE DAJJAL, YAJUJ AND MAJUJ (GOG AND MOGG) ETC. Who is Dajjal, when he will appear?

When will be the second coming of Jesus(pbuh) in the earth? What does Quran speaks about the Signs of the Hour, and about Yajuj and Majuj (Gog and Magog)?

Dajjal/Anti-Christ by Salem Al-Amry

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yi-BHgor6zo Answer: In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

DAJJAL The coming of Dajjaal is something which is in the future; thus the only things we know about him and his basis and characteristic is what Allah and His Messenger (saws) have informed us about him. Dajjaal will be an evil person, whom Allah Subhanah will send to this earth near the end of time, as a trial for the people. He will be an evil person, and will create mischief and havoc in the world. He will be a liar, and will have been given some powers by Allah as a trial; and he will claim himself to be Allah himself! When Dajjaals atrocities and oppression will reach its peak, Allah Subhanah will send Prophet Jesus (a.s.) to the earth; and Prophet Jesus (a.s.) will fight and kill him in battle. The advent of the Dajjal is obviously an event that is going to transpire in the future; and the future is known to Allah Subhanah Alone. Allah made known some of the future events to His Messenger (saws) who told some of the events surrounding Dajjal to the believers. There are a number of narrations from the Messenger of Allah (saws) which give a lot of details about the advent and the fitnah of the Dajjal. We will relate a few of them: SAHIH AL-BUKHARI HADITH 9.505 NARRATED BY ANAS The Prophet said, "Allah did not send any prophet but that he warned his nation of the oneeyed liar (Ad-Dajjal). He is one-eyed while your Lord is not one-eyed. The word 'Kafir' (unbeliever) is written between his two eyes."

SAHIH AL-BUKHARI HADITH 3.105 NARRATED BY ANAS BIN MALIK The Prophet said, "There will be no town which Ad-Dajjal will not enter except Mecca and Medina, and there will be no entrance (road) (of both Mecca and Medina) but the angels will be standing in rows guarding it against him, and then Medina will shake with its inhabitants thrice (i.e. three earthquakes will take place) and Allah will expel all the nonbelievers and the hypocrites from it." SAHIH AL-BUKHARI HADITH 4.554 NARRATED BY ABU HURAIRA Allah's Apostle said, "Shall I not tell you about the Dajjal a story of which no prophet told his nation? The Dajjall is one-eyed and will bring with him what will resemble Hell and Paradise, and what he will call Paradise will be actually Hell; so I warn you (against him) as Noah warned his nation against him." SAHIH AL-BUKHARI HADITH 4.659 NARRATED BY RABI BIN HIRASH 'Uqba bin 'Amr said to Hudhaifa, "Won't you relate to us of what you have heard from Allah's Apostle?" He said, "I heard him saying, 'When Al-Dajjal appears, he will have fire and water along with him. What the people will consider as cold water, will be fire that will burn (things). So, if anyone of you comes across this, he should fall in the thing which will appear to him as fire, for in reality, it will be fresh cold water.' " SAHIH AL-BUKHARI HADITH 4.553 NARRATED BY IBN UMAR Once Allah's Apostle (saws) stood amongst the people, glorified and praised Allah as He deserves to be praised, and then mentioned the Dajjal saying, "I warn you against him (i.e. the Dajjal), and there was no prophet but warned his nation against him. No doubt, Noah warned his nation against him, but I tell you about him something of which no prophet told his nation before me. You should know that he is one-eyed, and Allah is not one-eyed." SAHIH MUSLIM BK 41, NUMBER 6932: Hudhaifa b. Usaid reported: Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) was in an apartment and we were beneath that that he peeped in and said to us: What are you discussing about? We said: (We are discussing about the Last) Hour. Thereupon he said: The Last Hour would not come until the ten signs dppear: landsliding in the east, and landsliding in the west, and landsliding in the peninsula of Arabia, the smoke, the Dajjal, the beast of the earth, Gog and Magog, the rising of the sun from the west and the fire which would emit from the lower part of 'Adan. Shu'ba said that 'Abd al'Aziz b. Rufai' reported on the authority of Abu Tufail who reported on the authority of Abu Sariha a hadith like this that Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) did not make a mention of (the tenth sign) but he said that out of the ten one was the descent of Jesus Christ, son of Mary (peace be upon

him), and in another version it is theb lowing of the violent gale which would drive the people to the ocean. SAHIH MUSLIM HADITH 7015: NARRATED BY AN-NAWWAS IBN SAM'AN Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) mentioned of the Dajjal one day in the morning. He sometimes described him as insignificant and sometimes described (his turmoil) as very significant (and we felt) as if he were in the cluster of the date-palm trees. When we went to him (to the Holy Prophet) in the evening and he read (the signs of fear) on our faces, he said: What is the matter with you? We said: Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) you mentioned the Dajjal this morning (sometimes describing him) as insignificant and sometimes very important, until we began to think he was present in some (nearly) part of the cluster of the date-palm trees. So he said: I harbour fear in regard to you in so many other things besides the Dajjal. If he comes forth while I am among you, I shall contend with him on your behalf, but if he comes forth while I am not among you, a man must contend on his own behalf and Allah will take care of every Muslim on my behalf (and safeguard him against his evil). He (the Dajjal) will be a young man with twisted, cropped hair, and a blind eye. I compare him with AbdulUzza ibn Qatan. He who among you will survive to see him should recite over him the opening verses of Surah al-Kahf (xviii). He will appear on the way between Syria and Iraq and will spread mischief right and left. O servant of Allah! Adhere (to the path of Truth). We said: Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him), how long will he stay on Earth? He said: For forty days, one day like a year, one day like a month, one day like a week, and the rest of the days will be like your days. We said: Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) will one day's prayer suffice for the prayers of the day equal to one year? Thereupon he said: No, but you must make an estimate of the time (and then observe prayer). We said: Allah's apostle (peace be upon him) how quickly will he walk upon the earth? Thereupon he said: Like cloud driven by the wind. He will come to the people and invite them (to a wrong religion); they will affirm their faith in him and respond to him. He will then give a command to the sky: there will be rainfall upon the Earth and it will grow crops. Then in the evening, their pasturing animals will come to them with their humps very high, their udders full of milk and their flanks distended. He will then come to another people and invite them. But they will reject him so he will go away from them; they will have a drought and nothing will be left with them in the form of wealth. He will then walk through the desert and say to it: Bring forth your treasures. The treasures will come out and gather before him like a swarm of bees. He will then call someone in the flush of youth, strike him with the sword, cut him into two pieces and (make these pieces lie at the distance which is generally between the archer and his target. He will then call (that young man) and he will come forward laughing with his face gleaming (with happiness). It will at this very time that Allah will send Christ, son of Mary. He will descend at the white minaret on the eastern side of Damascus, wearing

two garments lightly dyed with saffron and placing his hands on the wings of two Angels. When he lowers his head, there will fall beads of perspiration from his head, and when he raises it up, beads like pearls will scatter from it. Every non-believer who smells the odour of his body will die and his breath will reach as far as he is able to see. He will then search for him (Dajjal) until he catches hold of him at the gate of Ludd and kills him. Then a people whom Allah had protected will come to Jesus, son of Mary, and he will wipe their faces and inform them of their ranks in Paradise. It will be under such conditions that Allah will reveal to Jesus these words: I have brought forth from among My servants such people against whom none will be able to fight; you take these people safely to Tur, and then Allah will send Gog and Magog and they will swarm down from every slope. The first of them will pass the lake of Tiberias and drink out of it. And when the last of them passes, he will say: There was once water there. Jesus and his companions will then be besieged here (at Tur, and they will be so hard pressed) that the head of the ox will be dearer to them than one hundred dinars. Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him), Jesus, and his companions will supplicate Allah, Who will send to them insects (which will attack their necks) and in the morning they would perish as one single person. Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him), Jesus, and his companions, then come down to Earth and they will not find on Earth as much space as a single span that is not filled with putrefaction and stench. Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him), Jesus, and his companions will then beseech Allah who will send birds whose necks would be like those of Bactrian camels and they will carry them away and throw them where Allah wills. Then Allah will send rain which no house of mud-bricks or (tent of) camel-hair will keep out and it will wash the Earth until it resembles a mirror. Then the Earth will be told to bring forth its fruit and restore its blessing and, as a result thereof, there will grow (such a big) pomegranate that a group of people will be able to eat it and seek shelter under its skin, a dairy cow will give so much milk that a whole party will be able to drink it. The milking camel will give such (a large quantity of) milk that the whole tribe will be able to drink from it, and the milking-sheep will give so much milk that the whole family will be able to drink from it. At that time Allah will send a pleasant wind which will soothe (people) even under their armpits. He will take the life of every Muslim and only the wicked will survive who will commit adultery like asses and the Last Hour would come to them.

SAHIH MUSLIM BK 41, NUMBER 7015: AnNawwas b. Sam'an reported that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) made a mention of the Dajjal one day in the morning. He sometimes described him to be insignificant and sometimes described (his turmoil) as very significant rand we felt) as if he were in the cluster of the datepalm trees. When we went to him (to the Holy Prophet) in the evening and he read (the signs of fear) in our faces, he said: What is the matter with you? We said: Allah's Messenger, you made a mention of the Dajjal in the morning (sometimes describing him) to be insignificant and sometimes very important, until we began to think as if he were present in some (near) part of the cluster of the datpalm trees. Thereupon he said: I harbor fear in regard to you in so many other things besides the Dajjal. If he comes forth while I am among on, I shall contend with him on your behalf, but if he comes forth while I am not amongst you, a man must contend on his own behalf and Allah would take care of every Muslim on my behalf (and safeguard him against his evil). He (Dajjal) would be a young man with twisted, contracted hair, and a blind eye. I compare him to 'Abdul'Uzza b. Qatan. He who amongst you would survive to see him should recite over him the opening verses of Sura Kahf (xviii.). He would appear on the way between Syria and Iraq and would spread mischief right and left. O servant of Allah! adhere (to the path of Truth). He would then come to another people and invite them. But they would reject him and he would go away from them and there would be drought for them and nothing would be lef t with them in the form of wealth. He would then walk through the waste, land and say to it: Bring forth your treasures, and the treasures would come out and collect (themselves) before him like the swarm of bees. He would then call a person brimming with youth and strike him with the sword and cut him into two pieces and (make these pieces lie at a distance which is generally) between the archer and his target. He would then call (that young man) and he will come forward laughing with his face gleaming (with happiness) and it would at this very time that Allah would send Christ, son of Mary, and he will descend at the white minaret in the eastern side of Damscus wearing two garments lightly dyed with saffron and placing his hands on the wings of two Angels. Then Allah would send rain which no house of clay or (the tent of) camels' hairs would keep out and it would wash away the earth until it could appear to be a mirror. Then the earth would be told to bring forth its fruit and restore its blessing and, as a result thereof, there would grow (such a big) pomegranate that a group of persons would be able to eat that, and seek shelter under its skin and milch cow would give so much milk that a whole party would be able to drink it. SAHIH MUSLIM HADITH 7034 NARRATED BY ANAS IBN MALIK Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) said: The Dajjal would be followed by seventy thousand Jews of Isfahan wearing Persian shawls. SAHIH MUSLIM HADITH 6931 NARRATED BY HUDHAYFAH IBN USAYD GHIFARI Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) came to us all of a sudden as we were (busy in a discussion) He said: What do you discuss about? (the Companions) said: We are discussing about the Last Hour. Thereupon he said: It will not come until you see ten signs before and (in this connection) he made a mention of the i) smoke, ii) Dajjal, iii) the beast, iv) the rising of the sun from the west, v) the descent of Jesus son of Mary (Allah be pleased with him), vi) The Gog and Magog, vii) and landslides in three places, viii) one in the

east, ix) one in the west and one in Arabia at the end of which fire would burn forth from the Yemen, x) and would drive people to the place of their assembly. SAHIH MUSLIM HADITH 7023 NARRATED BY ABDULLAH IBN AMR Someone came to him and said: What is this hadith that you narrate that the Last Hour will come at a certain time? Thereupon he said: Hallowed be Allah, there is no god but Allah (or words to the same effect). I have decided that I shall not narrate anything to anyone now. I have only said that you will see after some time an important event: that the (sacred) House (Ka'bah) will be burnt and it will definitely happen. He then reported that Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said: The Dajjal will appear in my Ummah and he will stay (in the world) for forty--I cannot say whether he meant forty days, forty months or forty years. Allah will then send Jesus, son of Mary, who will resemble Urwah ibn Mas'ud. He (Jesus Christ) will chase him and kill him. Then people will live for seven years, during which time there will be no rancour between any two persons. After that Allah will send a cold wind from the direction of Syria. None will survive on Earth, having a speck of good in him or faith in him: he will die. Even if some among you were to enter the innermost part of the mountain, this wind would reach that place also and cause your death. I heard Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) as saying: Only the wicked people will survive and they will be as careless as birds with the characteristics of beasts. They will never appreciate good nor condemn evil. Then Satan will come to them, in human form, and would say: Don't you respond? They will say: What do you order us to do? He will command them to worship the idols but, in spite of this, they will have an abundance of sustenance and lead comfortable lives. Then the trumpet will be blown and he who hears it will bend his neck to one side and raise it from the other side. The first one to hear that trumpet will be the person who is busy in setting right the cistern meant for supplying water to the camels. He will faint and the other people will also faint. Then Allah will send or He will cause to be sent rain which will be like dew and there will grow out of it the bodies of people. Then the second trumpet will be blown and they will stand up and begin to look (around). Then it will be said: O people, go to your Lord. They will be made to stand there and they will be questioned. Then it will be said: Bring out a group (of them) for the Hell-Fire. It will be asked: How much? It will be said: Nine hundred and ninetynine out of one thousand for the Hell-Fire. That will be the day that will make the children old because of its terror and that will be the day about which it has been said: "On the day when the shank will be uncovered". SAHIH MUSLIM HADITH 6924 NARRATED BY ABUHURAYRAH Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) said: The Last Hour will not come until the Romans land at al-A'maq or in Dabiq. An army consisting of the best (soldiers) of the people on Earth at that time will come from Medina (to oppose them). When they arrange themselves in ranks, the Romans will say: Do not stand between us and those (Muslims) who took prisoners from among us. Let us fight them. The Muslims will say: Nay, by Allah, we shall never turn aside from you and from our brethren so that you may fight them. They will

then fight and a third (part) of the army, whom Allah will never forgive, will run away. A third (part of the army), which will be constituted of excellent martyrs in Allah's eyes, would be killed. The third who will never be put on trial will win and they will be the conquerors of Constantinople. As they are busy in distributing the spoils of war (amongst themselves) after hanging their swords by the olive trees, Satan will cry: The Dajjal has taken your place among your families. They will then come out, but it will be of no avail. When they reach Syria, he will come out while they are still preparing themselves for battle, drawing up the ranks. Certainly, the time of prayer will come and then Jesus (peace be upon him), son of Mary, descend and l lead them in prayer. When the enemy of Allah sees him, it will (disappear) just as salt dissolves in water and if he (Jesus) were not to confront them at all, even then it would dissolve completely. Allah would kill them by his hand and he would show them their blood on his lance (the lance of Jesus Christ). SAHIH MUSLIM HADITH 6979 NARRATED BY ABU HURAYRAH Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) said: You have heard of the city, one side of which is inclined and the other is on the coast (Constantinople). They said: Yes, Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him). Thereupon he said: The Last Hour will not come until seventy thousand people from Banu Isra'il attack it. When they land there, they will neither fight with weapons nor shower arrows but will only say: "There is no god but Allah and Allah is the Greatest," and one side of it will fall. Thawr (one of the narrators) said: I think that he said: The area on the coast. Then they will say for the second time: "There is no god but Allah and Allah is the Greatest," and the other side will also fall. They will say: "There is no god but Allah is the Greatest," and the gates will be opened for them and they will enter. They will be collecting spoils of war and distributing them among themselves when a noise will be heard and it will be said: Verily, the Dajjal has come. Thus they will leave everything there and turn to (confront) him. SAHIH MUSLIM HADITH 7015 NARRATED BY AN-NAWWAS IBN SAM'AN The Messenger of Allah (saws) said: He (the Dajjal) will be a young man with twisted, cropped hair, and a blind eye. He who among you will survive to see him should recite over him the opening verses of Surah al-Kahf (xviii). He will appear on the way between Syria and Iraq and will spread mischief right and left. Every non-believer who smells the odour of his body will die and his breath will reach as far as he is able to see. He will then search for him (Dajjal) until he catches hold of him at the gate of Ludd and kills him. SUNAN OF ABU-DAWOOD HADITH 4306 NARRATED BY UBADAH IBN AS-SAMIT The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: I have told you so much about the Dajjal (Antichrist) that I am afraid you may not understand. The Antichrist is short, hentoed, woolly-haired, one-eyed, an eye-sightless, and neither protruding nor deepseated. If you are confused about him, know that your Lord is not one-eyed. SUNAN OF ABU-DAWOOD HADITH 4283 NARRATED BY ABDULLAH IBN BUSR The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: The time between the great war and the conquest of the city (Constantinople) will be six years, and the Dajjal (Antichrist) will come forth in the seventh. SUNAN OF ABU-DAWOOD HADITH 4281 NARRATED BY MU'ADH IBN JABAL The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: The flourishing state of Jerusalem will be when Yathrib is in ruins, the ruined state of Yathrib will be when the great war comes, the outbreak of the great war will be at the conquest of Constantinople and the conquest of Constantinople when the Dajjal (Antichrist) comes forth. He (the Prophet) struck his thigh or his shoulder with his hand and said: This is as true as you are here or as you are sitting (meaning Mu'adh ibn Jabal). AL-TIRMIDHI HADITH 5487 NARRATED BY ABUBAKR ASSIDDIQ Amr ibn Hurayth quoted AbuBakr as-Siddiq as saying that Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) told them the Dajjal would come forth from a land in the East called Khurasan, followed by people whose faces resembled shields covered with skin.

Tirmidhi transmitted it. SAHIH MUSLIM HADITH 296 NARRATED BY ABU HURAYRAH The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) observed: When three things appear faith will not benefit one who has not previously believed, or has derived no good from his faith: the rising of the sun in its place of setting, the Dajjal, and the Beast of the earth. SUNAN OF ABU-DAWOOD HADITH 4305 NARRATED BY IMRAN IBN HUSAYN The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Let him who hears of the Dajjal (Antichrist) go far from him, for I swear by Allah that a man will come to him thinking he is a believer, and follow him because of confused ideas roused in him by him. SUNAN OF ABU-DAWOOD HADITH 2526 NARRATED BY ANAS IBN MALIK The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Three things are the roots of faith: 1). to refrain from (killing) a person who utters, "There is no god but Allah", 2.) and not to declare him unbeliever whatever sin he commits, and not to excommunicate him from Islam for any of his action; 3.) and jihad will be performed continuously since the day Allah sent me as a prophet until the day the last member of my community will fight with the Dajjal (Antichrist). The tyranny of any tyrant and the justice of any just (ruler) will not invalidate it. One must have faith in Divine Decree. HADITH ABOUT THE DAJJAL Abdullah Ibn 'Omar said, "'Omar Ibn al-Khattab went along with the Prophet and a group of people to Ibn Sayyad, and found him playing with some children near the battlement of Banu Maghalah. At that time Ibn Sayyad was on the threshold of adolescence; he did not realise that anybody was near until the Prophet struck him on the back. The Prophet said to him: 'Do you bear witness than I am the Messenger of Allah?' Ibn Sayyad looked at him and said, 'I bear witness that you are the Prophet of the unlettered.' Then Ibn Sayyad said to the Prophet, 'Do you bear witness that I am the Messenger of Allah? 'The Prophet dismissed this and said, 'I believe in Allah and His Messengers.' Then the Prophet asked him, 'What do you see?' Ibn Sayyad said, 'Sometimes a truthful person comes to me, and

sometimes a liar.' The Prophet said to him, 'You are confused', then he said, 'I am hiding something from you.' Ibn Sayyad said, 'It is Dukh.' The Prophet said, 'Silence! You will not be able to go beyond your rank.' 'Omar Ibn al-Khattab said, 'O Messenger of Allah, shall I cut off his head?' The Prophet said, 'If he is (the Dajjal) you will not be able to overpower him, and if he is not, then killing will not do you any good.'" Salim Ibn 'Abdullah said, "I heard 'Abdullah Ibn 'Omar say, 'After that, the Prophet and Ubayy Ibn Ka'b went along to the palm trees where Ibn Sayyad was. The Prophet started to hide behind a tree, with the intention of hearing something from Ibn Sayyad before Ibn Sayyad saw him. The Prophet saw him lying on a bed, murmuring beneath a blanket. Ibn Sayyad's mother saw the Prophet hiding behind a tree, and said to her son, "O Saf (Ibn Sayyad's first name), here is Mohammad!" Ibn Sayyad jumped up, and the Prophet said, "If you had left him alone, he would have explained himself.'' Salim said, "'Abdullah Ibn 'Omar said, The Prophet stood up to address the people. He praised Allah as He deserved to be praised, then he spoke about the Dajjal: 'I warn you against him; there is no Prophet who has not warned his people against him, even Noah warned his people against him. But I will tell you something which no other Prophet has told his people. You must know that the Dajjal is one-eyed, and Allah is not one-eyed.'" Ibn Shihab said: "'Omar Ibn Thabit al-Ansari told me that some of the Companions of the Prophet told him that on the day when he warned the people about the Dajjal, the Prophet said: "There will be written between his eyes the word Kafir (unbeliever). Everyone who resents his bad deeds - or every believer- will be able to read it." He also said, "You must know that no one of you will be able to see his Lord until he dies.'" (Muslim, al-Bukhari). Ibn 'Omar said, "The Prophet mentioned the Dajjal to the people. He said, "Allah is not one-eyed, but the Dajjal is blind in his right eye, and his eye is like a floating grape.'" (Muslim) Anas Ibn Malik said, "The Prophet said, 'there has never been a Prophet who did not warn his people against that one-eyed liar. Verily he is one-eyed and your Lord is not one-eyed. On his forehead will be written the letter Kaf, Fa, Ra (Kafir).'" (Muslim, alBukhari) Hudhayfah said, "The Prophet said, 'I know more about the powers which the Dajjal will have than he will know himself. He will have two flowing rivers: one will appear to be pure water, and the other will appear to be flaming fire. Whosoever lives to see that, let him choose the river which seems to be fire, then let him close his eyes, lower his head and drink from it, for it will be cold water. The Dajjal will be one-eyed; the place where one eye should be will be covered by a piece of skin. On his forehead will be written the word Kafir, and every believer, whether literate or illiterate, will be able to read it.'" (Muslim) Abu Hurayrah said, "The Prophet said, 'Shall I tell you something about the Dajjal which no Prophet has ever told his people before me? The Dajjal is one-eyed and will bring with him something which will resemble Paradise and Hell; but that which he calls Paradise will in fact be Hell. I warn you against him as Noah warned his people against him.'" (alBukhari, Muslim)

Mohammad Ibn Munkadir said: "I saw Jabir Ibn 'Abdullah swearing by Allah that Ibn Sayyad was the Dajjal, so I asked him, 'Do you swear by Allah?' He said, 'I heard 'Omar swear to that effect in the presence of the Prophet, and the Prophet did not disapprove of it.'" Some 'ulama' (scholars) say that some of the Sahabah (Companions of the Prophet) believed Ibn Sayyad to be the greater Dajjal, but that is not the case: Ibn Sayyad was a lesser dajjal. Ibn Sayyad travelled between Makkah and Madina with Abu Sa'id, and complained to him about the way that people were saying that he was the Dajjal. Then he said to Abu Sa'id, "Did not the Prophet say that the Dajjal would not enter Madina? I was born there. Did not he say that he would not have any children? - I have children. Did not he say that he would be a Kafir? - I have embraced Islam. Of all the people, I know the most about him: I know where he is now. If I were given the opportunity to be in his place, I would not resent it.'" (al-Bukhari, Muslim)

YAJUJ AND MAJUJ Yajooj and Majooj are the names of the people of two wild tribes of the north-east Asia, who from the earliest times, had been making inroads on settled empires in Asia and Europe, and ravaging them. According to the Book of Ezekiel in the Bible (Chapters 38 and 39), they inhabited the territories of Russia and Tubalsek and Moscow. According to the Israelite history, they were the Seythians who inhabited the land to the north and east of the Black Sea. It is related in the Holy Quran that Allah sent a great ruler and believer (Zul-Qarnain), and he built a wall of molten lead to contain the menace of the tribes of Yajooj and Majooj. ALLAH SAYS IN THE HOLY QURAN CHAPTER 18 SURAH KAHF VERSES 94-97: 94 They said: "O Zul-qarnain! the Gog and Magog (people) do great mischief on earth: shall we then render thee tribute in order that thou mightest erect a barrier between us and them?" 95 He said: "(The power) in which my Lord has established me is better (than tribute): help me therefore with strength (and labor): I will erect a strong barrier between you and them: 96 "Bring me blocks of iron." At length when he had filled up the space between the two steep mountain sides he said "Blow (with your bellows)." Then when he had made it (red) as fire he said: "Bring me that I may pour over it molten lead." 97 Thus were they made powerless to scale it or to dig through it. There is also mention of the Gog and Magog re-appearing before QayamatIndeed it is related in the Holy Quran and in the authentic traditions of the Prophet (saws) that near the end of time, the descendants of the tribes of Yajooj and Majooj will emerge again, and cause a terrible menace. The authentic hadiths further relate that this will happen after Prophet Jesus (a.s.) has returned to earth and ridden the world of the menace of the anti-Christ, Ad-Dajjal. The tribes of Yajooj and Majooj will then lay siege upon the believers, and Prophet Isa (a.s.) and the believers will ascend the Mount of Tur for safety. The Prophet Isa (a.s.) and the believers will then supplicate Allah Subhanah to help them

against the might of the tribes of Yajooj and Majooj; and Allah will accept their supplication and cause the whole tribes to be annihilated.
ALLAH SAYS IN THE HOLY QURAN CHAPTER 21 SURAH ANBIYAA VERSES 96-97:

96 Until the Gog and Magog (people) are let through (their barrier) and they swiftly swarm from every hill. 97 Then will the True Promise draw nigh (of fulfillment): then behold! The eyes of the unbelievers will fixedly stare in horror: "Ah! woe to us! we were indeed heedless of this; nay we truly did wrong!"
BK 41, NUMBER 6931:

Hudhaifa b. Usaid Ghifari reported: Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) came to us all of a sudden as we were (busy in a discussion). He said: What do you discuss about? They (the Companions) said. We are discussing about the Last Hour. Thereupon he said: It will not cone until you see ten signs before and (in this connection) he made a mention of the smoke, Dajjal, the beast, the rising of the sun from the west, the descent of Jesus son of Mary (Allah be pleased with him), the Gog and Magog, and landslidings in three places, one in the east, one in the west and one in Arabia at the end of which fire would burn forth from the Yemen, and would drive people to the place of their assembly.
BK 41, NUMBER 6932:

Hudhaifa b. Rufai' reported on the authority of Abu Tufail who reported on the authority of Abu Sariha a hadith like this that Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) did not make a mention of (the tenth sign) but he said that out of the ten one was the descent of Jesus Christ, son of Mary (peace be upon him), and in another version it is theb lowing of the violent gale which would drive the people to the ocean. SAHIH MUSLIM HADITH 6931: NARRATED BY HUDHAYFAH IBN USAYD GHIFARI (ra) Allah's Messenger (saws) came to us all of a sudden as we were (busy in a discussion). He (saws) said: What do you discuss about? (the Companions) said: We are discussing about the Last Hour. Thereupon he (saws) said: It will not come until you see ten signs before and (in this connection) he made a mention of the smoke, Dajjal, the beast, the rising of the sun from the west, the descent of Jesus son of Mary (Allah be pleased with him), The Gog and Magog, and landslides in three places, one in the east, one in the west

and one in Arabia at the end of which fire would burn forth from the Yemen, and would drive people to the place of their assembly.

Thereupon he said: It will not come until you see ten signs before and (in this connection) he made a mention of the i) smoke, ii) Dajjal, iii) the beast, iv) the rising of the sun from the west, v) the descent of Jesus son of Mary (Allah be pleased with him), vi) The Gog and Magog, vii) and landslides in three places, viii) one in the east, ix) one in the west and one in Arabia at the end of which fire would burn forth from the Yemen, x) and would drive people to the place of their assembly.

Is there a connection between the two? Beloved brother, whatever we know for sure about the tribes of Yajooj and Majooj is what has been related and made to us by Allah Subhanah in His Glorious Quran and in the authentic and established traditions of the Messenger of Allah (saws). What is evident from these sources is that the descendants of the tribes of Yajooj and Majooj will be absolutely huge in number and in might, and they will re-appear, siege the believers, and will be annihilated by Allah Subhanah before the end of time.

BEAST Ad-Daabah literally means a beast. When used in the Islamic terminology, Ad-Daabah is the Beast that Allah Subhanah will send to earth near the end of time, as a trial for the people who do not believe in Allah Subhanah and His Signs. The Beast will be an animal who will talk to man, and will be sent as a trial unto mankind before the Day of Judgement. ALLAH SAYS IN THE HOLY QURAN CHAPTER 27 SURAH NAMAL VERSE 82: And when the Word is fulfilled against them (the unjust), We shall produce from the earth a Beast to (face) them: he will speak to them for that mankind did not believe with assurance in our Signs. SAHIH MUSLIM HADITH 6931 NARRATED BY HUDHAYFAH IBN USAYD GHIFARI Allah's Apostle (saws) came to us all of a sudden as we were (busy in a discussion) He said: What do you discuss about? SAHIH MUSLIM HADITH 296 NARRATED BY ABU HURAYRAH The Messenger of Allah (saws) observed: When three things appear faith will not benefit one who has not previously believed, or has derived no good from his faith: the rising of the sun in its place of setting, the Dajjal, and the Beast of the earth. The coming of the Beast is amongst one of the Major Signs of the Day of Judgement. It will be sent as a trial to those who did not believe in the Signs of Allah Subhanah; but

whoever brings faith after he has seen this manifest Sign of Allah, his faith will not be accepted.

THERE IS MENTION OF THE GOG AND THE MAGOG (YAJOOJ AND MAJOOJ)
Answer: Gog and Magog In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Your Statement: There is mention of the Gog and the Magog (Yajooj and Majooj) who Zulqarnain fought, in Surah Kahf. Yajooj and Majooj are the names of the people of two wild tribes of the north-east Asia, who from the earliest times, had been making inroads on settled empires in Asia and Europe, and ravaging them. Your Statement: There is also mention of the Gog and Magog appearing during Qayamat. Indeed it is related in the Holy Quran and in the authentic traditions of the Prophet (saws) that near the end of time, the descendants of the tribes of Yajooj and Majooj will emerge again, and cause a terrible menace. What is evident from these sources is that the descendants of the tribes of Yajooj and Majooj will be absolutely huge in number and in might, and they will re-appear, siege the believers, and will be annihilated by Allah Subhanah before the end of time. Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allahs Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength. Dajjal Answer: Dajjal In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness.

We will relate a few of them: SAHIH MUSLIM HADITH 7015: NARRATED BY AN-NAWWAS IBN SAM'AN Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) mentioned of the Dajjal one day in the morning. He sometimes described him as insignificant and sometimes described (his turmoil) as very significant (and we felt) as if he were in the cluster of the date-palm trees. At that time Allah will send a pleasant wind which will soothe (people) even under their armpits. He will take the life of every Muslim and only the wicked will survive who will commit adultery like asses and the Last Hour would come to them. SAHIH AL-BUKHARI HADITH 9.505 NARRATED BY ANAS The Prophet said, "Allah did not send any prophet but that he warned his nation of the oneeyed liar (Ad-Dajjal). He is one-eyed while your Lord is not one-eyed. The word 'Kafir' (unbeliever) is written between his two eyes."

SAHIH AL-BUKHARI HADITH 3.105 NARRATED BY ANAS BIN MALIK The Prophet said, "There will be no town which Ad-Dajjal will not enter except Mecca and Medina, and there will be no entrance (road) (of both Mecca and Medina) but the angels will be standing in rows guarding it against him, and then Medina will shake with its inhabitants thrice (i.e. three earthquakes will take place) and Allah will expel all the nonbelievers and the hypocrites from it." SAHIH MUSLIM HADITH 7034 NARRATED BY ANAS IBN MALIK Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) said: The Dajjal would be followed by seventy thousand Jews of Isfahan wearing Persian shawls. SAHIH AL-BUKHARI HADITH 4.554 NARRATED BY ABU HURAIRA Allah's Apostle said, "Shall I not tell you about the Dajjal a story of which no prophet told his nation? The Dajjall is one-eyed and will bring with him what will resemble Hell and Paradise, and what he will call Paradise will be actually Hell; so I warn you (against him) as Noah warned his nation against him." SAHIH MUSLIM HADITH 7023 NARRATED BY ABDULLAH IBN AMR Someone came to him and said: What is this hadith that you narrate that the Last Hour will come at a certain time? After that Allah will

send a cold wind from the direction of Syria. SAHIH AL-BUKHARI HADITH 4.659 NARRATED BY RABI BIN HIRASH 'Uqba bin 'Amr said to Hudhaifa, "Won't you relate to us of what you have heard from Allah's Apostle?" He said, "I heard him saying, 'When Al-Dajjal appears, he will have fire and water along with him. What the people will consider as cold water, will be fire that will burn (things). So, if anyone of you comes across this, he should fall in the thing which will appear to him as fire, for in reality, it will be fresh cold water.' " SUNAN OF ABU-DAWOOD HADITH 4306 NARRATED BY UBADAH IBN AS-SAMIT The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: I have told you so much about the Dajjal (Antichrist) that I am afraid you may not understand.

They will then fight and a third (part) of the army, whom Allah will never forgive, will run away. When they land there, they will neither fight with weapons nor shower arrows but will only say: "There is no god but Allah and

Allah is the Greatest," and one side of it will fall. Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allahs Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength. Difference between Dajjal,Yajooj,Maajooj, Al-Daabah Answer: Difference between Dajjal,Yajooj,Maajooj, Al-Daabah In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad(saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers. Ad-Daabah literally means a beast. (the Companions) said: We are discussing about the Last Hour. Thereupon he said: It will not come until you see ten signs before and (in this connection) he made a mention of the smoke, Dajjal, the Beast, the rising of the sun from the west, the descent of Jesus son of Mary (Allah be pleased with him), The Gog and Magog, and landslides in three places, one in the east, one in the west and one in Arabia at

the end of which fire would burn forth from the Yemen, and would drive people to the place of their assembly.

It will be sent as a trial to those who did not believe in the Signs of Allah Subhanah; but whoever brings faith after he has seen this manifest Sign of Allah, his faith will not be accepted. Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allahs Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength. Answer: Who is Dajjal, Yajooj, Maajooj etc? In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Ref: Dajjaal The coming of Dajjaal is something which is in the future; thus the only things we know about him and his basis and characteristic is what Allah and His Messenger (saws) have informed us about him. SAHIH MUSLIM HADITH 7015 NARRATED BY AN-NAWWAS IBN SAM'AN The Messenger of Allah (saws) said: He (the Dajjal) will be a young man with twisted, cropped hair, and a blind eye. He who among you will survive to see him should recite

over him the opening verses of Surah al-Kahf (xviii). He will appear on the way between Syria and Iraq and will spread mischief right and left. O servant of Allah! Adhere (to the path of Truth). We asked: Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him), how long will he stay on Earth? He said: For forty days, one day like a year, one day like a month, one day like a week, and the rest of the days will be like your days. We asked: Allah's apostle (peace be upon him) how quickly will he walk upon the earth? He will descend at the white minaret on the eastern side of Damascus, wearing two garments lightly dyed with saffron and placing his hands on the wings of two Angels. SAHIH AL-BUKHARI HADITH 4.553 NARRATED BY IBN UMAR Once Allah's Apostle (saws) stood amongst the people, glorified and praised Allah as He deserves to be praised, and then mentioned the Dajjal saying, "I warn you against him (i.e. the Dajjal), and there was no prophet but warned his nation against him. No doubt, Noah warned his nation against him, but I tell you about him something of which no prophet told his nation before me. You should know that he is one-eyed, and Allah is not one-eyed."

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allahs Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength. Who is Dajjal,Yajooj,Majooj etc? Answer: Who is Dajjal,Yajooj,Majooj etc? In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Ref: Yajooj and Majooj Yajooj and Majooj are the names of the people of two wild tribes of the north-east Asia, who from the earliest times, had been making inroads on settled empires in Asia and Europe, and ravaging them. According to the Book of Ezekiel in the Bible (Chapters 38 and 39), they inhabited the territories of Russia and Tubalsek and Moscow. According to the Israelite history, they were the Seythians who inhabited the land to the north and east of the Black Sea.

It is related in the Holy Quran that Allah sent a great ruler and believer (Zul-Qarnain), and he built a wall of molten lead to contain the menace/ threat of the tribes of Yajooj and Majooj. And it is related in the Holy Quran, that near the end of time, Yajooj and Majooj will emerge again, and cause a terrible menace. This will happen after Prophet Jesus (a.s.) has ridden the world of the menace of the Dajjal. Then Prophet Jesus (a.s.) and the believers will supplicate Allah Subhanah to help them; and Allah will send a swarm of insects who will kill the full tribe of Yajooj and Majooj. ALLAH SAYS IN THE HOLY QURAN CHAPTER 21 SURAH ANBIYAA VERSES 96-97: 96 Until the Gog and Magog (people) are let through (their barrier) and they swiftly swarm from every hill. 97 Then will the True Promise draw nigh (of fulfillment): then behold! the eyes of the Unbelievers will fixedly stare in horror: "Ah! woe to us! we were indeed heedless of this; nay we truly did wrong!" THE STORY ABOUT THE DAY OF JUDGEMENT. THE STORY ABOUT DAJJAL, THE CURSED TREE, ISA, AND KHIDDIR. Isa khidr and the last day In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers. Dear and beloved brother in Islam, although the name of Hadrat Khidr (a.s.) is not mentioned in the Quran, the story of the incidents that transpired between Hadrat Khidr (a.s.) and Prophet Musa (a.s.) are related by Allah Subhanah in Surah 18 Al-Kahf. Allah is our witness brother, there is absolutely no mention in the authentic and established Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (saws) regarding the advent of Hadrat Khidr (a.s.) being alive until the days of Hadrat Isa (a.s.) and the evil Dajjal before the end of time! There are innumerable authentic hadiths whereby the Prophet (saws) prophesized in Truth about the times to come before the end of time and the emergence of the evil Dajjal, the advent of Prophet Isa ibn Maryam (a.s.) from the heavens, the advent of Imam Mahdi, and re-emergence of the tribes of Yajuj and Majuj.but Allah is our witness brother, we have not come across a single narration where there is even a mention of Hadrat Khidr (a.s.) during those times! Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allahs Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

AD-DAJJAL The Dajjal In Arabic Ad-Dajjal means "The Deceiver," In Islamic eschatology -- The branch of theology that is concerned with the end of the world or of humankind -- the Antichrist who will come forth before the end of time; after a reign of 40 days or 40 years, he will be destroyed by Christ or the Mahdi (aka Imam Mehdi to Muslims all over the world) ("rightly guided one") or both, and the world will submit to Allah. Ad-Dajjal first appears in pseudoapocalyptic Christian literature and is reworked in Hadith (sayings) ascribed to the Prophet Muhammad. There he is described as a plump, one-eyed man with a ruddy face and curling hair and the Arabic letters k-f-r ("unbelief") on his forehead. Ad-Dajjal will appear during a period of great tribulation; he will be followed by the Jews and will claim to be God in Jerusalem. He will work false miracles, and most people will be deceived. At this moment will occur the Second Coming of Christ. Tradition expects Ad-Dajjal to appear in the East, possibly Khorasan, or in the West. In the meantime, he is said to be somewhere in the East Indies, on an island from which the sounds of dancing and beautiful music emanate, according to sailors' lore and the tale of Sindbad the Sailor. An alternate version is linked with the Greek Prometheus legend; in this account, Ad-Dajjal is bound to a rock on an island in the sea and is fed by demons. YAJUJ AND MAJUJ Quran is silent about Ad-Dajjal. Although it mentions about Yajuj-Majuj. Many Islamic scholars think that Yajuj-Majuj is synonymous to Ad-Dajjal. Muhammad (pbuh) described to his followers Ad-Dajjal where is he going to come from, his demeanor, what would he be asking to Muslims, etc. etc.

In Islamic eschatology, two hostile forces who will ravage the Earth before the end of the world. The Qur'an relates that a certain people terrorized by Yajuj and Majuj induced Alexander the Great to construct a great wall between them. Yajuj and Majuj, thus trapped between two mountains until the last days of the world, dig under the wall every night trying to escape, only to find each morning that the wall has been restored by God (Allah). Tradition provides several descriptions of Yajuj and Majuj, who are Muslim counterparts of the biblical Gog and Magog. Some are tall as cedars, and others wide as they are tall; one variety is completely covered with ears. They will appear in large numbers in the northeast of the ancient world as portents of the end, then proceed south toward Israel, drinking up the waters of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers or the Sea of Galilee and killing everyone along the way. When there are no more human targets left for their arrows, Yajuj and Majuj will shoot at the sky, but God will either fill their ears and noses and throats with worms and destroy them in a single night or send a flock of birds to drown them in the sea.

Building a wall against Yajuj-Majuj. Painting by Qasim; 16th Century. (From British Library) Here is one of the Hadiths on Ad-Dajjal that was found in an Islamic website: "Ubaidah Bin Saamit (RA) says, Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) said "I have explained Dajjal to you, but I fear that you might not have understood. Dajjal will be short, and his legs will be crooked. The hair on his head will be extremely twisted...... If you have any doubt regarding Dajjal, remember that your Sustainer (ALLAH), is not one eyed. (Because Dajjal will eventually claim to be God himself. His followers shall accept him as such). He will be able to split a person into two and then bring him back life again....(AHMAD). Huzaifah (RA) also says, He will have with him WATER (Heaven) and FIRE (HELL). In reality his hell shall be heaven and his heaven shall be hell......(MUSLIM). In another Hadith of Our Prophet (SAWS) has said, that Dajjal shall not know himself the difference between the two. If you are forced to choose between the two, then choose his fire(Hell), for

in reality, it will be cool water, and his water(Heaven), shall be Hell. Imraan Bin Hussain (RA) says the Prophet (SAWS) said." The Myth Page http://www.geocities.com/khola_mon/myth/Dazzal.html

anything, because they were so isolated; they were Gog and Magog. They were spreading corruption through the earth, and harming the people, so the people sought help from Dhul-Qarnayn. They asked him to build a barrier between them and Gog and Magog. He sought their help in building it, so together they built a barrier by mixing iron and copper. Thus Dhul-Qarnayn restrained Gog and Magog behind the barrier. They tried to penetrate the barrier, or to climb over it, but to no avail. They could not succeed because the barrier was so huge and smooth. So they began to dig, and they have been digging for centuries; they will continue to do so until such a time when Allah decrees that they come out. At that time a hole will be made in the barrier, and Gog and Magog will rush out in all directions, spreading corruption, uprooting plants, and killing people. When Jesus (peace be upon him) invoke Allah against them, Allah will send a kind of worm in the napes of their necks, and in the morning they would perish like one single person. Based on Ibn Kathirs Al-Bidayah wa an-Nihayah (The Beginning and the End) The Quran narrates this story saying: They ask thee concerning Dhul-Qarnayn. Say, I will rehearse to you something of his story.? Verily we established his power on earth, and we gave him the ways and the means to all ends. One (such) way he followed, until, when he reached the setting of the sun, he found it set in a spring of murky water: near it he found a people: we said: O DhulQarnayn (thou hast authority,) either to punish them, or to treat them with kindness. He said: whoever doth wrong, him shall we punish; then shall he be sent back to his Lord; and he will punish him with a punishment unheard of (before). But whoever believes, and works righteousness, he shall have a goodly reward,

and easy will be his task as we order it by our command. Then followed he (another) way, until, when he came to the rising of the sun, he found it rising on a people for whom we had provided no covering protection against the sun. (He left them) as they were: we completely understood what was before him. Then followed he (another) way, until, when he reached (a tract) between two mountains, he found, beneath them, a people who scarcely understood a word. They said: O DhulQarnayn the Gog and Magog (people) do great mischief on earth: shall we then render thee tribute in order that thou mightest erect a barrier between us and them? He said: (the power) in which my Lord has established me is better (than tribute): help me therefore with strength (and labor): I will erect a strong barrier between you and them: Bring me blocks of iron. At length, when he had filled up the space between the two steep mountain sides, he said, blow (with your bellows) then, when he had made it (red) as fire, he said: bring me, that I may pour over it, molten lead. Thus were they made powerless to scale it or to dig through it.? He said: this is a mercy from my Lord: but when the promise of my Lord comes to pass, he will make it into dust; and the promise of my Lord is true. (Al-Kahf: 83-97) Zaynab bint Jahsh (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) once came to her in a state of fear, and said, None has the right to be worshipped but Allah. Woe unto the Arabs from a danger that has drawn near. An opening has been made in the dam of Gog and Magog like this, (making a circle with his thumb and index finger.) Zaynab bint Jahsh said, O Messenger of Allah! Shall we be destroyed even though there are pious persons among us? He said, Yes, when corruption increases. Allah Almighty knows best. Who is the evil Dajjal (the "anti-Christ")? by Mohammed Ali Ibn Zubair Ali Note: Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wassallam) has exhorted the regular recital of Suratul Kahf which will most certainly save one from the Evils of Dajjal. Hadhrat Imraan bin Husain (R.A.) relates that, "I heard Rasulullah (Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam) saying: "Since the birth of Adam (A.S.) till the advent of Qiyamah there is no fitnah (evil, test) much greater that of Dajjal." Hadhrat Huzaifah (R.A.) says, Dajjal will be blind in his left eye. He will have very thick hair on his body and he will also have his own type of Jannat (Heaven) and Jahannam (Hell) with him: Although his Jannat will appear as Jannat, in reality it will be Jahannam and likewise though his Jahannam will appear to be Jahannam, in reality it will be Jannat. (Hadith: Muslim) Imraan bin Husain (R.A.) says Rasulullah (Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said: "Those who hear about Dajjal should stay far from him. By Allah! A person will approach him thinking him to be a Believer, but on seeing his amazing feats he will become his follower." Ubadah bin Saamit (R.A.) once said, "I have explained Dajjal to you but I fear that you might not have understood. Maseeh Dajjal will be short, and his legs will be crooked. The hair on his head will be extremely twisted. He will have one eye (with which he can see, and this is the protruding eye about which other ahadeeth inform us) while his other eye will be totally flat. It will neither be deep (in its socket) nor protruding. If you still have any doubt regarding him then remember that your Sustainer (Rabb) is not one-eyed. (Because Dajjal will eventually claim to be Allah). In a lengthy Hadith narrated by Abu Saeed (R.A.), Rasulullah (Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam) is reported to have said: "Dajjal will come but it will be prohibited and impossible for him to enter Madina. He will set up camp in a barren land outside Madina. One person who will be the best of persons will confront him by saying: "I bear witness that you are the very Dajjal about whom Rasulullah (Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam) has informed us." Dajjal will say to his followers, "If I kill this person and then revive him, you people will still doubt me?" They will reply, "No." He will then kill this person, (according to another narration he will split this person in two) and thereafter revive him. This person will say, "I am totally convinced more than ever before that you definitely are Dajjal." Dajjal will attempt to kill this person again but his efforts will now be in vain. (According to a hadith, after this incident, Dajjal will not be able to harm anyone.) Hadhrat Anas (R.A.) says that Rasulullah (Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said: "Dajjal will come and finally reach the outskirts of Madina. There will be three tremors. At that time, all the disbelievers and hypocrites will flee (from Madina). In this way Madina Munawwarah will be purified of all the evil hypocrites. Hadhrat Asma bint Yazeed (R.A.) narrates that Rasulullah (Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam) once came to my house and there he spoke about Dajjal. He said that before the emergence of Dajjal there will be three spells of drought. In one year the skies will withold one third of its rains, causing the earth to withold one third of its produce. In the second year the skies will withold two thirds of its rains, causing the earth to withold two thirds of its

produce. In the third year, the skies will withold all its water and there will be no crops that year. All animals, be they hooved or toothed, will die as a result. The greatest evil of Dajjall will be to approach anyone and ask him: "If I bring your camel back to life, will you then believe that I am your Rabb?" This person will reply, "Most certainly." Thereafter Shaytaan (from the many Shayateen who will always accompany Dajjal) will appear before this person in the form of his camel with a fat hump and fully laden udders. Likewise Dajjal will appear before another person whose father and brother have long passed away and ask him, "If I bring your father and brother back to life will you believe that I am your Rabb?" This person will reply, "Why not?" Shaytaan will once again take on the appearance of his brother and father... (Ahmad) Hadhrat Mughira ibn Shu'ba (R.A.) says that, "No one asked Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wassallam) about Dajjal as much as myself. Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wassallam) said to me, "How can he possibly harm you?" I said: "People are saying that he will have with him a mountain of bread (provisions) and a river of water." Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wassallam) said: "In the sight of Allah he is much more disgraced than that. (i.e. Allah knows full well that in reality Dajjal has nothing with him, and all that which appears to be with him is but deception). (Bukhari and Muslim). Other Ahadeeth regarding Dajjal inform us that: He will emerge between Shaam and Iraq, and his emergence will become known when he is in Isfahaan at a place called Yahudea. The Yahudis (Jews) of Isfahaan will be his main followers. Apart from having mainly Yahudi followers, he will have a great number of women followers as well. He will have with him fire and water, but in reality the fire will be cold water while that what appears to be cold water will in reality be a blazing fire. Those who obey him will enter "his Jannat" while those who disobey him will enter "his Jahannam." There will be a thick fingernail-like object in his left eye. The letters "Kaa" "Faa" "Raa" will appear on his forehead and will be deciphered by all Mu'mineen regardless of them being literate or not. He will have a wheatish complexion. He will travel at great speeds and his means of conveyance will be a gigantic mule. It is said that he will play beautiful music which will attract the music lovers. Dajjal will lay claim to prophethood. He will then lay claim to Divinity. He will perform unusual feats. He will travel the entire world. He will send down rains upon those who believe in him, which in turn will cause good crops to grow, trees to bear fruit and cattle to grow fat. He will cause drought to those who disbelieve in him, resulting in starvation and hardship for them. During those trying times the Mu'mineen will satiate their hunger through the recitation of Subhanallah and La'ilaha Ilallahu.

The hidden treasures will spill forth at his command. He will stay on this Earth for a period of forty days; the length of the first day will be one year, the second day will be equal to one month, the third day will be equal to a week and the remaining days will be normal. He will be unable to enter Makkah because the Malaikah will be guarding the Holy City and nor will he be able to enter Madina because there will be Malaikah guarding each of the seven entrances to Madina; From Madina he will proceed towards Shaam where Imaam Mahdi will be stationed. Finally Isa (A.S.) will descend from the heavens and pursue him and eventually kill him at present day Lydda (Baad Lud). from: "Signs of Qiyamah" by Mohammed Ali Ibn Zubair Ali http://www.islam.tc/prophecies/masdaj.html http://islam.worldofislam.info/index.php? option=com_content&view=article&id=50:hadith-about-the-dajjal&catid=70&Itemid=44
