ATTENTION ALL SENIOR STUDENTS: It has come to the notice that some of the senior students, especially students from Hyderabad, are indulging in ragging their juniors in trains/ buses, while travelling to and from Hyderabad during weekends. The SI of Kazipet Police Station was informed about the reports on ragging taking place in the trains/ buses during weekends. The Police squads are making surprise checks in the trains/ buses. The Police are likely to take a severe action, if they find any senior student indulging in ragging. The Institute will also take severe action against such students as per the anti ragging act. Hence all the senior students are warned not to indulge in any ragging.

ATTENTION TO THE STUDENTS OF F, M AND N SECTIONS OF I YEAR B.TECH: The first class test in the subject Mathematics I for the students of F, M and N sections of I Year B.Tech. will be conducted at 5.00 PM on 6-10-2012 in the NAB. The seating arrangement is going to be announced by the respective class teachers of MathematicsI.

Ph.D. VIVA-VOCE EXAMINATION: MATHEMATICS DEPARTMENT: Ph.D. Viva-Voce Examination of Mr.M.Krishna Prasad, Research Scholar, under the guidance of Dr.D.Srinivasacharya, Associate Professor, and Department of Mathematics is scheduled to be held on 8-10-2012 (Monday) at 11.00 AM in the Seminar Hall of the Department of Mathematics. The title of the thesis is Slow viscous flow porous prous approximate spherical particles. All the interested Faculty members and Research Scholars are invited to attend the same.

Ph.D VIVA VOCE EXAMINATION DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRICAL ENGG. The Ph.D. Viva-Voce examination of Mr. E. Muneender, Research Scholar, under the guidance of Dr.D.M. Vinod Kumar, Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering, is scheduled to be held on 08-10-2012 (Monday) at 10.00 AM in the Computer Lab of Electrical Engineering Department. The title of the thesis is, Optimal Static and Dynamic Congestion Management in a Power Market using Mutation based Hybrid Fuzzy Adaptive Swarm Intelligence Techniques. The interested Faculty members and Research Scholars are invited to attend. 2ND

CENTRAL LIBRARY ISSUE OF ID CARDS FOR B.TECH. STUDENTS & M.TECH., P.G., MCA, MBA 1st YEAR STUDENTS:

All the B.Tech. 2nd Year students & M.Tech., PG., MCA, MBA 1st year students are hereby informed that, they should surrender their existing ID Card and they may collect new updated ID Card in the Central Library on or before 12-10-2012.

:: 2 :: 6. DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND SPORTS: Coaching Camps in the following sports will be held daily evening 5.30 p.m. onward at respective playgrounds. Volleyball, Tennis and Ball Badminton Students are requested to register their names and attend the camps. 7. ATTENTION: ALL UG AND PG STUDENTS: All those UG & PG students who were not able to appear for Mid-Semester Examination (held during 17.09.2012 to 23.09.2012) on medical grounds that warranted them to abstain from the examination, are required to apply along with recommendation of Institute medical officer for consideration to conduct Special MidSemester Examination. Those who had abstained from the examinations due to calamity in family also have to submit an application through Dean (Student Affairs) along with all the details. The application with the recommendation of the Head of the Department concerned shall reach Dean Academic office on or before 05.10.2012.

NIT EMPLOYEES MUTUALLY AIDED CO-OPERATIVE HOUSE BUILDING SOCIETIY LTD, WARANGAL DECISIONS OF DIRECTORS MEETING HELD ON 4TH OCTOBER, 2012 Regarding purchase of land at Tekulagudem, the following decisions have been taken in the directors meeting held on 4th October, 2012.

1. The plots will be made of approximately 200 Sq.Yards, 300 Sq.Yards and 600 Sq,Yards, according to availability of land at site. 2. The value of plots is approximately Rs.1500/- per Sq.Yard including development charges. 3. All the members are required to pay the 2nd instalment on or before 19th October, 2012. 4. It is further decided to take new members in to the Society on payment of 90% of the plot value. 5. The members (existing or new) who want to have 600 Sq.Yards plot should pay 90% of the plot value immediately. However, the 600 Sq.Yards plots will be made on the availability of land at site. The 600 Sq.Yards plots will be allotted to those members who pay 90% of the amount on first-cum-first serve basis. 6. All the members are requested to co-operate with the Office-Bearers/Directors in this regard.
