8 Weeks to Becoming Fruitful

Week 2

Welcome my beloved sister! You are on the road to healing and recovery, as proof by just committing yourself to continue on in this study. I am proud of the efforts that you have already made just to be present and let the LORD lead you on.

Depression as a whole, in my life, has been a constant tug-of-war. I will feel as though I am gaining ground and then lose it just as quickly when the next challenge arises.

If you completed your homework during our first week of study, then you should have a few great and precious promises to hold on to in the coming weeks of study. If you have not already done so, use the space below to document the scriptures and promises of God that you are praying and speaking over your life during the course of this study. Come back to them during trials and when you need refreshing. Dear God, I am believing and trusting in Your Word and promises ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________

8 Weeks to Becoming Fruitful

Week 2
Stop this morning and spend time, REAL TIME, with the LORD in prayer. Ask Him to bless the reading of His Word as you are seeking Him today.

DAY 1

Read completely again, through 2 Peter Chapter 1. Now focus in on 2 Peter 1:5 Ask yourself how you feel this scripture is relevant to you, and where you are in fighting depression right now. ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ Are you ready to be diligent in the choice you have made to shatter the mirror of depression and focus solely on Gods will for your life? How are you going to stay diligent this week? ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ You have chosen the path least taken. You have chosen this day whom you will serve. Keep going. Keep praying. Keep seeking.

"And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom you will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD." Joshua 24:15

8 Weeks to Becoming Fruitful

Week 2

Continue seeking the LORD and beginning your day with fervent prayer. Asking. Seeking. Knocking.

DAY 2

Today, read again the passage in 2 Peter 1:5. Now, go back and read it again with 2 Peter 1:4-5. Ask the LORD to increase your faith today. Ask Him to restore virtue and grant you wisdom today. Now, I want you to focus your prayers somewhere else. Pray the same prayer you just prayed for yourself, for another sister in Christ. Find a slip of paper and write her name on it. Use it as a bookmark this week in 2 Peter. Pray for her specifically each time you see this piece of paper.

. . . If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. 1 John 4:12
Spend your prayer time today asking the LORD to bless your study of His Word and bring you revelation.

DAY 3

We are going to take a slight detour in our scripture today. Read Psalm 23:3. What is it that you long for the LORD to restore? ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________

Week 2

As you are spiritually knocking today, expect for the LORD to answer the prayer of your heart. Make this a moment of refreshment and restoration. Build the LORD an altar in your heart and ask Him to continue to renew, restore and refresh you this week as you are seeking Him.

You are almost done with the week. You are doing great and I am proud of you for the endurance and determination you are displaying. Lets keep going. It is day four, so be sure to checkin at the blog this afternoon to get a special word of encouragement. Pray today that the LORD will reveal to you any virtue that you may still lack. Ask Him to help you and instill that virtue to you once again.

DAY 4

You do not belong in the chains of depression, any more than I. Let us take this step together toward God's "exceeding great and precious promises".

Remember your friend from Day 2? Pray for her today and send her a note of encouragement in the mail. YES, THE MAIL. E-mail, Facebooking and Twittering do NOT count. The sure sign of spiritual growth in the area of depression is that you are willing and able to spend time reflecting on someone elses needs. Get the note in the mail today.

Week 2
You made it. I pray you are feeling stronger and ready to receive all that the LORD has planned for your life.

DAY 5

Today I want you to go a little deeper. Pray with fervent and expectant hope today. Read again 2 Peter 1:4-5 What are your great and precious promises again? Believe them. Believe God. Read again through your promises. Does God require anything from you in order for you to receive your promises? (Example: obedience, prayer, trust, faith, etc.) Write down what it is you believe God requires of you in order to receive His great and precious promises: ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ _____________________________ _____________________________ Jesus is ready to help you. He is _____________________________ our King, yet our helper and _____________________________ greatest friend. Accept the help he alone is willing to give to you. _____________________________ Trust in the One who made you and is able to restore you. Rest this week in His promises.
