Once upon a time a lion caught a mouse in his paw. The mouse was scared. Please, Mr. Lion, dont eat me. Maybe someday I can help you, said the mouse. Ha, ha, ha! You silly mouse. You are small and I am big, said the lion. You are too little to help a big, strong lion like me! But you made me laugh, so I will let you go.
31

One day the lion got caught in a hunters net. The lion roared a big, loud roar, but he was trapped. He pushed the net. He pulled the net. He shook the net, but he couldnt escape. He was very scared.
32

Just then the mouse crawled by. What are you doing in that net? asked the mouse. Im trapped, said the lion. I cant escape. Im very scared! Dont worry, said the mouse. I can help you. The mouse chewed the net. He chewed and he chewed until he made a hole.

Then the lion escaped through the hole.

33

The mouse said, You see? You are big and I am small, but I can still help you. Thank you, little mouse, said the lion. You are right. Now we will always be friends.
