Analytical Framework
Theories and the themes that emerged in the article

Theory: Feminism
Traditional Marxist Feminism wherein the source of oppression is capitalism and bourgeoisie. In the article, capitalism is obvious meaning it uses money, power, private properties to liberate women

Because the gap between the rich and the poor gets wider and wider, the rich becomes richer and the poor becomes poorer. And for the rich countries to maintain their reputation, stature, money, credits and power, both women and male have to work leaving their family and relatives needs unattended. Because people in the 1st world are too busy with their work, they hire nannies to do care work which are often females from the third world Females from the third world arent only exploited because of their brains and brawns but because of their caring nature towards their [1st world people] family; love which is supposedly given to her own family

ISSUES AND THEMES

Migration Rights of Children Feminism Capitalism Brain drain Care drain Globalization

Migration it is undeniable in the article that female from the third world migrate to the rich countries for them to earn a living whether for herself of for her family. Rights of children in connection with migration, this issue pertains to Article 9 of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Child. It states that a child should grow up in a family environment, in an atmosphere of happiness, love and parents against their will Feminism Since the article talks mostly about female who chose to work overseas than being a simple mother or housewife, we can attach feminism to it. Capitalism Assumed to be the cause of the importation of love. Also, it is one of the roots of the widening of the gap between rich and poor

Brain Drain Since there are more opportunities of work abroad, those who have the capacity and are qualified opt to work abroad for higher pay. Care Drain the migration of locals abroad to take good care of a different family; paying so much attention and love to them and treating them as their own. Globalization make something to become globally adopted. Because of this, it became a routine for the third world countries to work abroad especially females who are really in need abroad

Did the author successfully achieved her goals?

The author was indeed successful with his objective as stated. He has provided scenarios that best fits or explains what his points were. Given for example the "care drain." It exemplifies the need for care of the developing children since the care given by women of developing countries are allocated to those of the developed children. It shows that the government should act upon by providing enough jobs for Filipinos for migration to be lessened if not stopped. Another scenario was when Rowena Bautista had the guts to say "I love you" to her kids. This was a great way to show that though they're miles and miles away, Rowena still tries to reach out to his kids.

AUTHORS MOST! CONTROV ERSIAL POINTS

!
The authors most controversial point is the part of Article 9 of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of the Child where it states that: A child should grow up in a family environment, in an atmosphere of happiness, love and understanding and not be separated from his or her parents against their will The author has been pointing out in the article that children must be provided with such ambiance effective for the childs personal growth

What did the article leave out?

The article has mainly provided the readers that there is still inequality among developed and developing countries. At an early age, children of women from developing countries are given less care than the children of developed countries experience. The group thinks that the developing countries must act upon it or do something about it because it affects the growth of the young citizens. It is a form of a chain reaction: where in the child will suffer because of lack of care from their mother and as a result will have a poor performance in school then will not be able to graduate with flying colors and eventually will suffer the rest of their lives with poverty. Then, will not be provided with good-paying jobs in the third world countries then will need to go to developed countries to have a job sufficient to fulfill the needs of their family.

Love and Gold: Best vs Worst

Conclusion

It is hard to leave ones children behind because a mothers duty is to provide TLC (tender, loving, care) with her maternal instincts. With them working abroad, they tend to practice their maternal instincts on children who are not even their own. Time passes and eventually, there is a gap between the mother and her own children because there might be cases of jealousy, or even hatred.

After reading this article, we conclude that the government should provide financial aid to OFWs who want to go home, so that these family bonds that we all try to strengthen wont break. The Philippine government should also do something to improve our economy so that people will get to enjoy life and all of the job opportunities that come with it. Mothers everywhere should not endure the pain of being unrecognized by their own kids.
