midlands based, UKAS accredited testing house, Wintech Engineering Limited has teamed up with global certification giants UL and can now offer a UKAS accredited testing and Secured by Design certification service. Secured by design is a police initiative to prevent crime through design and testing of security products. To meet the scheme requirements, new building specifications are increasingly calling for windows and doors with enhanced security performance to have full certification and licensing. The certification process via UL is undertaken in accordance with a UKAS accredited certification scheme. CE marking, certification, inspections and Factory process control (fpc) ensures a swift market entry for your products. Wintech Engineering Limited, in partnership with UL also provides the testing element of cE marking to a range of building components and products. cE marking is the preferred method to prove compliance with the construction products Directive (cpD). This is a legal requirement for manufacturers who wish to place their products in the European market. Whilst not currently mandatory for the UK market, in 2013, the construction product Directive (cpD) will change to the construction products regulations (cpr) and will require manufacturers in the UK to have their products cE marked.
