BACKGROUND TO COMPANY

Mangwanani Private African Day SPA was Erins Original idea it was born out of personal preference, to establish a retreat where one could be pampered from head to toe and indulge in sheer decadence. Mangwanani was established in 2002 and it is an African day Spa that has a unique African Spa experience which incorporate wellness, as entertainment and social responsibilities, it focuses on relaxation while indulging all senses in True decadent revitalization.

PART 1

ORGANISATIONAL CAUSES OF STRESS.


ABSENTISM
Employees the absent themselves during the busy
days, whereas there are more clients needs to be assisted.

Staffs members take days off, even they are not


permitted to take day off after that they come back with doctors note pretend as if they were ill.

ALCOHOL
Some of the staff members they have a alcohol
problem ,employees come to their duties while they are drunk that cause a lot of problem because clients complain to the managers

REPITITIVE TASK
Employees they also complain about doing the same thing for the whole week ,that

cause stress that is why the managers duty their staff on different task Staff members complain about job that have no meaning e.g welcoming each and every client visiting Mangwanani day spa ,managers had changed that clients get to be welcomed as a group.

Suppliers
Sometimes suppliers deliver our orders late e.g at Mangwanani we use variety of soap, foam bath etc for massaging, when our suppliers delay to deliver our products that cause stress in our organisation

BUYING ONLINE PRODUCTS


Some employees they misunderstand the products
that ordered by customers using online e.g When customers require a Mbali body an employee think as if the customer want Mbali facial that cause a stressful day

Clients like to purchase online when we deliver


their order they state bad comment when they see product they order do not recommended for their skins.

STRESSFUL EVENT
Usually employees experience stress when there are more than one event during a week events need more time than usually time staff used to work e. g Big Walk need more staff members who will assist or offer different types of massage ,nail painting, serving food etc

TREATING CLIENTS UNFAIRLY


Clients complaints about the staff members

who are not patient, criticize clients, by not keeping their promises.

RECEPTIONIST NOT ON THEIR DUTY


Receptionist have many important functions such as answering telephone calls, making appointments, informing practioners for their arrivals of clients, recommending salon service to clients while the receptionist tend to have limited patience with clients.

EFFECT OR IMPACT OF DIFFERENT CAUSES OF STRESS


LOSS OF CLIENTES
When clients experience poor service delivery they leave e.g most of Mangwanani African day spa staff when they had a busy day they lose appetite, instead of be friendly and polite some of them they get sad and being rude, they dont make jokes with clients, they dont smile for clients and that causes the loss of clients coming in to our establishment and complains are post to our suggestion boxes.

NEGATIVE WORD OF MOUTH


Once a clients experiences poor or bad service the companys name will sounds bad because she/he will be spreading negative word of mouth. If one or two clients get unsatisfied of a massage or facial massage they can only keep on standing on one word Mangwanani African Day Spa provide with poor service delivery Please Never Ever go there for getting a massage they will not do massage or they will hit u instead.

LOSS OF LOYAL CLIENTS


IF we offer poor service to our loyal customers they run away from us e.g Our loyal customers are football players we usually deal with them because after they had a match we offer them nice body massage and relaxation.

MEET CLIENTS EXPACTATIONS For the company to reduce stress we try by all
means to meets clients expectations e.g by offering excellent service. To meets clients expectations gives a company an opportunity to bring back loyal customers and getting new clients in our Spa.

GOOD COMMUNICATION
Good communication between clients and employees reduces stress.

QUALITY FOOD IN RESTUARANT


Good & healthy food must be provided at Mangwanani restaurant and customer should be advised to eat balance diet.

HOLIDAY RELAXATION

As the company we also provide relaxation to our staff members in order to reduce stress to our staff members.

DAY TRAINING
Company train the staff members on certain day to improve their skills on how to treat clients, and also how to improve the personal appearance.

STAFF MEETING
Managers of the company request an emergency meeting when there is a difficult task needed to be performed to share views and opinion.

FREE DAY-OFF
Company offer with a day off to certain staff when there are no many clients in order to deal with stress.

MANAGERS MOTIVATE EMPLOYEES


Mangwanani African day spa managers they offer a free meal to staff members who are working in restaurant under Mangwanani. Mangwanani managers cares about the health and well being of their employees, and they recognise that a variety of personal problems can brought a stress, so they offer their staff a body massage. For motivation and aspiration to embrace change they adapt their staff by giving them Mangwanani vouchers e.g getting a pink teen for your children or Mangwanani summer special. For Mangwanani African day spa employees to be motivated, managers identify ways in which effective salary can be shaped. Managers believes that employees are the one of the keys to success ,they reward them for the clients complements by giving them a holiday vacation ,or entertainment tickets

Managers advise the staff to attend the meeting which will also be able to improve their communication, so that staff members will feel comfortable during their duties. Mangwanani African day spa managers subcontract with another catering of different enterprises to spend some time training their staff to do their jobs better. A manager brings back the feedback on time to the employees.

CHALLENGES MANAGERS FACE IN MOTIVATING EMPLOYEES


ATTENTION
Some staff members dont give full amount of attention when managers requested a meeting. Those who need motivation they dont attend meeting Staff members pretend as if they are listening while the manager standing for hours at the end when there must be some suggestions they tug on managers face.

Additional cost which have not yet been discussed with staff members in advance must come to an end.
