PERSONAL PROFILE
My interest in journalism began with writing for the student newspaper at the University of Birmingham (Redbrick winner of the Guardian Student Media Award for best website), and was heightened by my appointments to photography editor and online news editor, both in my first year. I am competent at using Microsoft Office especially Word, Powerpoint, Outlook, Excel and Access. I also know how to run live blogs with software such as CoveritLive, Storify, Sound Cloud and Word Faire and using Wordpress for websites. My appointment as Captain of School at Ellesmere College taught me to appreciate time management and organisation as I was balancing academic work for my A-levels with my duties around the school.
