Sub:-College Union Election 2011-12 Reg. Ref: 1. Orders of the Vice-Chancellor on file of even number dated 17.08.2011. 2. This office letter of even number dated 24.06.2011. __________ Please refer to the above. I am to inform you that the Honble Vice-Chancellor has ordered to conduct the College Union Election 2011-12 on 29.09.2011 in all the colleges affiliated to the University of Calicut. You may, therefore, take urgent steps for the conduct of College Union Election 2011-12 in your College as per the above provisions and also as per the other requirements of the Lyngdoh Committee/University Election Rules. The Election Schedule for the College Union Election 2011 and the performa for submitting relevant details of University Union Councillors after the election are enclosed herewith. The Returning Officers may make changes in the scheduled dates and time, if necessary, except the date of Notification and date of Polling. (i) The Name and Designation of the person appointed as Returning Officer shall be intimated to this office immediately. (ii) The results of the election signed by the Returning Officer and countersigned by the Principal shall be forwarded to the undersigned within fifteen days after the poll. (iii) An affidavit from the Returning Officer to the effect that the Election was conducted in a free and fair manner has to be enclosed (Appendix-II). (iv) The specimen signature and two identical copies of Photographs (Passport size) of each University Union Councillor (One copy affixed on the Proforma which is enclosed herewith (Appendix-I)) with their name written on the reverse side of the Photograph and attested by the Principal shall also be forwarded to this office along with the results for including their names in the list of General Council/Preliminary Electoral Roll/Final Electoral Roll of the forthcoming University Union Election (2012). The names of the UUCs will not be considered for inclusion in the Electoral Roll without the above documents. Colleges who could not conduct the College Union Election as per the given schedule shall prepare a possible/tentative schedule and submit it for the approval of the Honble Vice Chancellor. They shall conduct elections only after getting approval. Yours faithfully,
