Expressions of Worship:
W.E. Vine
Since Vine literally wrote the dictionary of New Testament words, he has a solid connection to its content. This devotional is ideal for a daily regimen of reading to keep your mind sharp and your heart connected to Scripture. The syntax of the original has been adapted for the modern reader, offering bite-sized passages of food for thought, theological explication, and life application. Available in hardcover or e -reader by clicking here.

Youth Happenings
Blessings Church Family, My entry this month is a heartfelt thank you. On July 10th, 34 youth and youth workers departed from NorthRidge church en route to Ridgecrest, North Carolina for Centrifuge. You, my church family, helped make this trip possible. Through your support and prayers, we doubled the number of students that were able to go and experience God in a very special way. Words cant begin to express my gratitude to all of you.
When we arrived in North Carolina, we were greeted by rain. This rain enjoyed our company so much that it decided to stay and hang out with us for the next three and a half days. At any other camp, this rain would have ruined the camp for all the campers. The difference is that God was at this camp. The rain did not stop the students (or the leaders, for that matter) from having a good time, but if all that was had was a good time, then this week would have been a waste.
It was not a waste. God began, on the first night, working on the hearts of everyone on this trip. Through the worship leadership of Rush of Fools to the teachings of Camp Pastor Landon Dowden, our students and leaders were brought to a place of worship that many have not been to before. We were challenged to accept a love we dont deserve. We were challenged to tell others about Christs love for them. We were challenged to make sure that this fire inside of us did not die down when we returned home. My church family, I ask you to continue to pray for and with us. With the new school year just around the corner, we are expecting to see new faces upstairs, and that means opportunity for God to show His perfect love to people who may have never known love. Pray for the opportunities that arise for us to share that love. Also, pray that the students and leaders remain close to God. Finally, please pray for our new college/young adult group that has just recently started. God bless you, and thank you for your prayers and support.
