At the meet on 'Information Computing and Management Challenges'

The theme for the Mental Health Day was "The great push: Investing in mental health" and was held to promote open discussion of mental disorders, and investments in prevention, promotion and treatment services. Various psychiatric exhibitions were arranged to display charts and documentary sessions. There.were also mime, skits and mock therapy rooms as part of the programme. Radha S. Murthy, Founder and Managing Trustee of Nightingales Medical Trust, Bangalore, said, "Through such an initiative, we hope to enhance discussions on mental disorders, and to encourage investments in prevention, treatment and promoting awareness of mental illnesses. People with mental disorders are mostly neglected and traumatised. In several places, mental diseases are not categorised as an illness.
