Course no. : IT 302 Course Title : Technoprenuership Credit Units : Three (3) units Pre-requisite : I. COURSE DESCRIPTION This course covers the basic principles of managing business in technology. Students will learn technical knowledge as basic knowledge in running a business in technology. However, managing a business is not technical knowledge alone. More important is the balance between people (customer and employees) and economics. II. COURSE OBJECTIVES At the end of this course, the student will learn to: Understand the difference between entrepreneurship and technopreneurship Apply the principles and theories of entrepreneurship and management in IT business Understand the interplay between various factors affecting the IT business Understand multimedia systems, its usage and key functionalities. Understand multimedia codes such as text, graphics, sound, animation, video and virtual reality Develop and implement an IT business plan Lean to develop a simple web site. Emphasize the importance system and procedures. Distinguish the issues in multimedia productions.
