Kiss Army Argentina Exclusive Interview with Andre LaBelle, The Sky drummer and ex-Vinnie Vincent, Part

2: I Never used this many drums to get the sound before!

SECOND AND LAST PART OF THE INTERVIEW WITH ANDRE LaBELLE, DRUMMER FOR THE SKY AND EX-VINNIE VINCENT (DURING THE RECORDING SESSIONS OF GUITARS FORM HELL). ANDRE TALKED ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE OF RECORDING WITH EX-KISS VINNIE VINCENT IN THE STUDIO! DONT MISS IT!

Kiss Army Argentina: Andre, how many songs did you record during the "Guitars from Hell" recording sessions with Vinnie Vincent? Andre LaBelle: 12 complete songs all together and numerous rough ideas. The picture (below) is the drum room from the first sessions. I put all the drums together and took this picture. Kiss Army Argentina: Did you use all the sets of drums for the recordings with Vinnie? Andre LaBelle: Yes. We tried all these sets. Vinnie had Carmine Appice loan us a drum set to check out as well. We ended up using a combination of Sonor and Ludwig drums. Kiss Army Argentina: I see... what a strange way to work. Isn't it? Did you work that way before? Andre LaBelle: I never used this many drums to get the sound before! (lol). Strange and fun for me indeed. I was in drum heaven. Kiss Army Argentina: It was Vinnie's way... Andre LaBelle: Yes, it was that way... Kiss Army Argentina: Do you keep pictures or videos related to those recording sessions? Andre LaBelle: I have pictures of all the drums in the studio and a few of me, even a video of Grand Master studio but, none with Vinnie. He was really weird about having his pictures taken. You can hear Vinnie say at the end of the video, "OK Rick, you can get the tape off that's it for today, I don't believe I can hit another note." Kiss Army Argentina: And who is Rick? Andre LaBelle: Rick Barcelona, the recording engineer... Kiss Army Argentina: Really interesting, a piece of history of what happened in the studio with Vinnie during those days...

Andre LaBelle: Vinnie didn't want me to film any of his playing in this video. That's why he told the engineer 'That's it for today" (lol). Kiss Army Argentina: Andre, these stories are amazing... Andre LaBelle: Yes...This was a great interview with lots of content! Very cool. Kiss Army Argentina: Thank you very much for you time and dedication to us...

Andre LaBelle: Thank you very much, Marcelo.
