The learning sequence is carefully graded to assure steady progress in all areas. Theory, Primer is coordinated page-by-page with Piano, Primer and Performance, Primer. The three books should be used simultaneously for thorough reinforcement of each concept. The suggested sequence among the books is listed in the Contents. Theory contains written work and some short pieces to reinforce each concept introduced. Students will have a better understanding of the music they are playing-and will learn it more easily-when theory is integrated as a regular part of the learning process.
