After creating a vox pop of my target audience ages 16-20 years old I used the results to design a product that met what my target audience said they liked in a magazine.
My magazine attracts my target audience for the variety of neon colours I used and fits with my target audiences physiographic interests of clubbing and dance music.
I used the conventions from similar magazine which attract the same target audience as mine such as Mixmag which I discovered through my research stage. Therefore this would attract my target audience to read my magazine.
From my vox pop research I also discovered what my target audience likes the most in a magazine which was gossip about celebrities, music and girly fashion tips which I included in my magazine. Also my target audience at an average was willing to pay approximately 3 for a magazine therefore I priced my magazine at 2.99 so that I know this is a comfortable price which will attract my target audience.
I added a USP to my magazine which consisted of a free dance chart CD which will attract my audience as they feel theyre gaining something out of purchasing the magazine.
After producing my magazine I asked a sample of my target audience on what they thought of my magazine and they thought the magazine looked .
colourful and fun looking magazineI feel I can relate to it as it reflects my clubbing life.
Overall I believe I have addressed/attracted my target audience which I have accomplished through approaching my target audience directly and producing a vox pop and also research that I had discovered from similar magazine such as mix mag.
