Caterpillar Peterlee are currently seeking 3 Auto Electrical Apprentices

Background/Experience required for the above positions: 5 GCSE Grades A-C inclusive of English, Maths and Science subject Chosen candidates must be keen and reliable and have an interest in this field of work Good attitude and communication skills essential, plus the willingness to learn Experience in engineering would be an advantage, for example, NVQ Level 2 in Performing Engineering Operations (PEO), Performing Manufacturing Operations (PMO), BTEC National in Engineering, GCSE in Engineering related subject ICT skills are an advantage

Job Requirements The Apprentice Auto electrical technician is to learn all the skills and competencies associated with the job role of an Auto electrical technician. Skills and competencies will include activities on diagnostics, fault finding and repair on Articulated trucks. The Apprentice will report to the Assembly Supervision for all of the technical information relating to the test and fault finding activities. This position requires a candidate with a positive attitude towards learning and working safely that is able to adapt well to change and is always trying to continuously improve skill and knowledge base

Candidates will be required to attend a days assessment centre in July 2012. On the job training will be provided by Caterpillar. Successful candidates must attend either block release or day release starting in September 2012 to achieve a full advanced apprenticeship framework at NVQ Level 3, as directed by the chosen Training Provider or College.
