Santa Fe, NM 87501 Mr. King, I am writing to request a formal investigation into potential violations of the Campaign Reporting Act by the Committee to Elect Amy Orlando. The potential violations involve a recent mailer from the Doa Ana County District Attorneys reelection campaign, as well as her campaign website. The mailer fails to disclose the name of the person or group who printed it and the campaign website, www.amyorlandoda.com, fails to disclose the person or group responsible for paying for and publishing the site. As you know, according to New Mexico law (NMSA 1-19-16), failing to disclose either the printer of mailers or persons responsible for paying for campaign advertising and communications is a violation of the Campaign Reporting Act. As any investigation into this matter by the Doa Ana County District Attorneys Office would be complicated by conflicts of interest, I respectfully request that your office conduct the investigation into this matter. If you would, please confirm with me when you receive this letter and please send me an update, when applicable, on the status of my inquiry.
