Since 1996, La Guirnalda Polar have published several hundred articles, interviews, fiction, essays and poetry about the Hispanic and Native cultures of the world. Its published in Spanish.

La Guirnalda Polarpublished in Vancouver, Canada, is a original type of magazine. They publish , creations from important authors of the Hispanic world, sometimes forgotten by the cultural institutions. They published essays of the Phillipine Hispanic writers, such as Jos Rizal, poems from Carlos Gutirrez Cruz, a proletarian poet from Mexico, poetry from Jos Pedroni a progressive poet from Argentina, a forgotten sacred prayer from the Galicia native culture (the Conxuro tradicional da Queimada), in Spain. They also featured articles on the Hispanic Jewish language, the Sefardi. Other sources of this magazine are the Native peoples of the Americas and the places where some of them originated: North of Asia, the North Pole, like the Ainu carvers and canoe makers from Japan. Other task they have commited is the promotion of the Native art and culture from Canada, like the carvers Bill Reid, Mike Dangeli and the Mexican Japanese carver Kazuyoshi Tlacaelel, founder of the Spirit of Wood Gallery. More than a magazine, this is a forum for the quality creators of the underground cultures. Their role as publishers is unique, as they was been online since 1993 and as webzine since 1996 without any financing or sponsorship, supported only by the members of the Canadian NPO "LGPolar Publishing Society". It has a board of directors and an executive director, the Mexican poet Jos Tlatelpas. Even if they have published monthly many times, it is not a calendarized magazine, but a sort of Wiki, forum or encyclopedia to save some of the treasures of the Spanish speaking world that should not be forgotten.
