This global warming issue has been so controversial up to the point where a movie called The Day After Tomorrow was made about it, just to show the possible outcomes if this is not stopped in time. Basically, what the movie was focusing on was how the increased temperatures can actually cause an ice age. In addition to rising media dispute coming from scientists and other professionals involved with the study of global warming, the movie also raised awareness of global warming and its possible disastrous outcomes, therefore, making people realize how important taking care of the earth really is, which is what the article talked about. With films publicizing global warming, it may help the society be aware that it is something that cannot be ignored and it is something that we need to fix as soon as possible. After all, it would be the best thing to do for our earth. Upon finding this article, I realized that I had watched this movie prior to knowing that I was going to be doing a research project about greenhouse gases and global warming. Even back then it made me think; why isnt the world doing anything about this if they already have a glimpse of what is going to happen if global warming isnt stopped? Personally, I think that movies about global warming and its consequences motivate society to take action, and more should be made.
