Muddle in a mixing glass with brown sugar. Pour the vodka in the mixing glass. Any vodka will do but as always, a premium brand is better. Add 4-6 ice cubes and shake vigorously. Pour the whole into an old-fashionned glass (along with the ice). Serve with a straw.
