Snow White is an animated film about a young maid named Snow White (Fairest of All) under the watchful eye of her evil Stepmother. Longing the grace and beauty of Snow White, the evil Stepmother plots a plan to have Snow White bite into a poisonous apple that will put her into a deep sleep for eternity. The only way the spell be broken is if she is kissed by a Prince. Snow White is ultimately saved by a Prince who kissed her to save her life. Major Contributions to the Film Industry Snow White was the first commercial success film of its time ranking in about 6.5 million internationally. It was one of the best films produced by Walt Disney of its time as well. Snow White also revolutionized cartoon film of its day. Wow! Information Snow White and the Seven Little Dwarfs won seven little awards: The Honorary Award(1939), The Saturn Award(2002), Video Premiere Award(2001), The Special Award(1987), National Film Registry(1989), Grand Biennale Art Trophy(1938), and The Jackie Coogan Award(1984). It was based on a fairytale of the Brothers Grimm which was a German version of Snow White. Comparison to Snow White can be compared to Toy Story because they both have similar themes in the films.
