Fluency Homework

Dear Parents, Your child will be bringing home a reading passage each week to practice his/her fluency. He/she needs to practice reading this passage every night. Each night please time him/her for one minute and record on the paper the date and the number of words read. When they are reading, help them with any word they dont know so they can continue to read as many words as possible. We are hopeful this reading practice at home will help your child to increase his/her reading fluency. Thank you for your help. Estimados Padres, Su nino/a llevara a casa un pasaje de lectura cada semana para que practique su fluidez en la lectura. El/ella necesita practicar este pasaje todas las noches. Cada noche, favor de tomarle el tiempo (un minuto) y anotar en el papel la fecha y la cantidad de palabras que leyo. Cuando ellos esten leyendo, ayudenles con alguna palabra que ellos no sepan para que continuen leyendo cuantas palabras les sea posible. Esperamos que practicando la lectura en casa le ayude a su nino/a a aumentar su fluidez en lectura. Gracias por su ayuda.
