EXECUTIVE EDUCATION

BUSINESS PROJECT
You will identify a strategic issue to address individually throughout the program. This business project will be built on your own experience. It will help capitalize on the expertise of your professional networks and on inputs from many industries involved in the program. Each taskforce group will be mentored by HEC academic tutors.
PROGRAM
Managing in a fast-moving environment and
anticipating business trends (Paris, France) The aim of the first module is to build up a comprehensive knowledge of the digital sector, seen as a business impacted by regulation and technology. You will drive a strategic analysis of the environment by looking at the challenges and opportunities of the digital and telecom industry, at the regulatory framework at stake and at some relevant business models for this industry, You will also tackle the issue of value creation for the client through the concepts of value chain and customer intimacy, These subjects will enable you to address the questions of managing and facing change in the digital and telecom business.
TEACHING METHODS
The courses will blend both presentations of the latest concepts by the instructors and concrete case studies. Valuable practical insights are also provided by experts in the field, thus enriching the programs academic content by the first-hand experience of these top executives.
FACULTY
ALAIN KERAVEL - ACADEMIC DIRECTOR Alain Keravel graduated from the ENSAM, the HEC MBA and received a postgraduate degree in clinical psychology from the Paris-VII University. After a 20-year operational career in the field of new technologies, he joined HECs Management and Human Resources Department. His research interests include supporting change linked to technological innovation and emerging work organization methods. He is one of the co-authors of le Management des Entreprises Artistiques et Culturelles (the management of artistic and cultural firms).
BERTRAND QUELIN - ACADEMIC DIRECTOR Bertrand Qulin obtained his Doctorate Degree in Economics from the University of Paris. From 1999 to 2005, he was Associate Dean for the Ph.D. program at HEC Paris. He was Visiting Research Scholar at the W. Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley (1996-97). His research interests include the economics of organization, transaction cost economics and outsourcing, and strategic management of competence. He is the author of several papers published in international journals and of numerous chapters in collective books.
FEES
Tuition fees 16,000 including teaching fees, academic material, room and board. Travel and housing expenses to and from all modules are not included. Fees are not subject to VAT.

FORMAT
The first module has a 5-day schedule and will take place on March 5th 2012. The second module, which has a 6-day schedule, will follow 3 months later.

The language of instruction is English. Modules take place in Paris, France.
ADMISSION
Candidates are invited to fill out a subscription file and write a proposal of business project in order to validate their correlation with the program chosen.

CERTIFICATION
> The completion of this training program will allow you to obtain an HEC Paris Advanced Certificate in Digital and Telecom Business Management. > The Advanced Certificate is worth 18 credits of the HEC Executive MBA. >Holders of the Advanced Certificate will be able to deduct the full price from the Executive MBA tuition fees if admitted to the HEC Executive MBA within a year of completion of their Advanced Certificate.
