« De Lênin à Lacoste. Os arquétipos espaciais de subdesenvolvimento », em Compreendo a complexidade socioespacial contemporânea, dir : Marie Teresa F. Ribeiro et Carlos Roberto S. Milani, Salvador, EDUFBA, 2009, pp. 86-113. The purpose of this study is to think about the concepts of space and territory applied to the concept of underdevelopment. By comparing the views of liberal thinkers and Marxist or Marxian geographers, we want to give the land its rightful place in the understanding of economic phenomena too often considered at a global scale, without taking into account the spatial dimension explaining the internal and external organization of societies.
