Sin embargo, se podría haber tomado como argumento de las funciones circulares

De lo anterior se tiene que las fórmulas deducidas para las distancias s, c, t son,
precisamente, las definiciones formales de las funciones hiperbólicas.
Seno hiperbólico:

Sin embargo, como se obtiene por las fórmulas de Euler, en el campo complejo no
ocurre así, siendo todas las funciones, circulares e hiperbólicas, dependientes de la
función exponencial compleja ez.
Para las funciones hiperbólicas se cumplen fórmulas análogas a las fórmulas de las
funciones circulares:
