Much has been said about the council´s efforts to make this city more upmarket. To a certain
extent theses efforts have been successful, bringing new facilities into the area.

However, I would like to draw attention to the amount of littering dumped in all the streets of
Encantado.

Some might say this is neglect of the neighborhood population, but I see it as a problem
caused by incomplete and infrequent garbage collection. It lowers property values and creates
a smelly atmosphere for locals and visitors alike.

What´s more it can cause serious illness, especially in children who often play in the streets.

It´s about time the council stops pretending the problem does not exist and improve the
service of collection garbage. Unless similar action is taken here, the neighborhood will quickly
be flooded by littering. This would discourage further investment in the area and have
disastrous environmental consequences.
