CONTINUOUS
 THE PAST SIMPLE
 Lo usamos para hablar de algo que sucedió en un
tiempo anterior definido. En ese caso usamos
expresiones de tiempo como:
› yesterday
› last night
› In 1992
 THE PAST CONTINUOUS
 Lo usamos para hablar de una acción que duró
durante cierto tiempo en el pasado. Suele
aparecer con la hora a la que sucedió el hecho o
la duración del mismo:
› at 10:30 yesterday morning
› all night
 THE PAST SIMPLE vs. THE
PAST CONTINUOUS
 S e pueden combinar juntos. En este caso la
acción que expresa duración (P.C) es
interrumpida por una más corta (P.S).
› Lady Gaga was singing when the fire started.
› Kovalainen was driving when a tyre burst.

 WHEN and WHILE
› Son conjunciones de tiempo. WHEN siempre va
seguido de PASADO SIMPLE. Y WHILE siempre va
seguido de PASADO CONTINUO.
› I was watching El Barco when I recieved an sms.
› I saw your mum while I was coming to school this
morning.
