This thinking brought a revolution in practice of medicine and Homoeopathy was evolved. Let us discuss some concepts with "No prejudice" & No ego". There is a general feeling that if Acute diseases continues for longer duration they are categorized as chronic diseases - This is not so. It should be made clear that Acute and chronic diseases are entirely different. CHRONIC Permanent Magnet In acute the derangement is from circumference to center and in chronic it is from center to circumference. Acute diseases do not involve any gene mutation and are simply caused by temporary defaults in the defense mechanism of the body. Acute disease like Fevers, Diarrhea, Dysenteric or Abdominal / Joint are treated on non-homoeopathic principles with Homoeopathic Medicines like Ferrum Phos, Kali Mur or combination of Belladonna / Aconite / China etc. and Diarrhoea are treated with Podophyllium, Aloes, Veraterum Alb etc. and all these are repeated 1 -2 - 3 hourly depending upon the ‘mood! of the Homoeopaths. Such prescriptions are Blind Prescriptions’ or ‘Quack Prescriptions’. If fever goes down gradually from 103 "degree" on 1st day to 102 "degree" on 2nd day on 99 "degree" on 3rd day and normal on 4th day or Sth day is not your good result, because the acute infection has exhausted itself and the patients has recovered by himself.The patient gives you credit as patient has improved and you accept the same in high spirits without knowing that your prescription was not correct. You remain ignorant about your mistakes and they are continuing since generations. About chronic diseases - there are controversies. There are two groups - (1) who ignored concept of miasm. (2) who accepted thoughtlessly. Please remember, that Homoeopathy is based on basic concept of 'Dynamis' & dynamic action. We may be able to give temporary relief to our patients but the mission of a physician (Aphorism-1) cannot be fulfilled. If medicine is selected on entire totality of symptoms, it is quite logical but practically only surface totality is covered and it leads to palliation, which may last for years even, but chronic miasmatic states cannot be treated. There are various ways of prescribing enlisted in our literature - (1) Particulars to Genérals - Boenninghausen (2) Generals to particulars - Kent (3) Key Note - Singular, uncommon - Allen, Nash, Boger (4) Organopathic - Clark, Burnett, Huges (5) Chronological - Wood Ward (6) Etiological - Burnett (7) \sopathic - Lux, Hering, Burnett (8) Tautopattic - Arndt & Schultz; Burnett; R.P. Patel. The aim of these authorities is to approach the simlimum from various angle, hence deviating Hahnemann's directive of ' totality of symptom. Do not stick too much to any one of these authorities. We treat ‘Man in Disease! & not ‘Disease in man’. We deal with drug energy & not drug material. It is secondary action which is curative. When a true similium is given, it sets others influences at work, the process gains momentum & the whole metabolism of the body is modified - It is called" Trigger Response’ Hahnemann supposed that chronic diseases occurred by introduction of contaminating agent - Miasm.. Miasm means a ‘Predisposition’, Which must be taken into account. Some Homoeopaths, begin a case by routinely giving nosode, which corresponds to patients past - history & family history - to clear the miasm, but which of the diseases in the past history has created a miasm or predisposing weaken, is to be guessed.The pre-disposing weakness of the defence mechanism can be affected by 3 major factors - (1) Hereditary influence. (2) Strong infectiotts disease (3) Previous treatments & vaccinations. According to cellular pathology, the-disturbance are of 3-types (A) Deficiency - lack with Hypo-functioning - PSORA (B) Hyperactivity - Hyperplasia, expansion - SYCOSIS (C) Degeneration - Dystrophies & dysfunction - SYPHILITIC (A) PSORA - is.internal itch disease. Evil thinking. It is active thinking, which is a kind mental itching - 7/8 of chronic diseases (88%) are Psoric. It brings turmoil in Thinking, Feeling & Willing. The ‘Will’ and ‘Understanding’ are altered. Values of life - Intelligence, perception, thinking, decision making is not there. “The will to live and let others live is not there — Kent”. There are duodenal ulcers, Atherosclerotic process, Auto- immune disorders etc. He is - A(Aggressive), I(Idiotic), D(Depressed), Miasm by their permutation and combination determine the constitution of an individual - Every person is a different entity & so is this disease. So, first make a list of all the symptoms or abnormality. Then we separate them in different groups. Select extra ordinary symptoms syndrome of maximum value - & we arrive at similmum, which will give desired results. Don't make ‘Hit & Trial’ prescriptions or use ‘poly pharmacy’ & combinations - we have read mantra’ Homoeopathic has no side - effects and is non-toxic, but the fact is there is centripetal shifting of disease and increase the suffering of a patient at a deeper level.
