British Council and AVALON presents:

A flavour of TESOL Arabia

Friday 11th March, 2011
It is our pleasure to be able to bring a flavour of TESOL Arabia's 17th annual international
conference (http://www.tesolarabia.org/conference/ ) to Second Life this Friday.

The theme for this year’s conference is Rethinking English Language Teaching: Attitudes,
Approaches and Perspectives, and because of this we will be holding a guided discussion for
language teachers related to this as well as retransmitting live one of the conference plenaries.

Location: Rooftop Discussion Area, British Council Isle Arrivals

Events:

1) Rethinking Language Awareness *

Peter Grundy

forms works better for the structural approaches of the past than for the more holistic, functional
approaches to language teaching that we favour today. So how do we rethink this important
concept? (more info: http://tinyurl.com/6gkdjbv)
